You don't need to change it on the Xbox as well as it gets that information from the router already so you can leave it as automatic

RIP R1, Looking to get XR1000
Netduma Fraser replied to ziocomposite's topic in NETGEAR Nighthawk Support (XR range)
It uses one of the cores for packet acceleration so you won't really ever see any usage data on System Information. The R2 is the latest bleeding edge so the other platforms will lag behind it a bit. I would say the XR500 is more up to date than the 1000 which currently doesn't have HybridVPN or Ping Assist. We do want to bring all the platforms more in line with each other and XR1000 is due to get 3.3 very soon. -
Glad to hear you got it sorted, thanks for posting the solution. Perhaps hold off for the moment as some people haven't been able to downgrade

Netduma - Auto Detect speed
Netduma Fraser replied to Jeofel08's topic in Feature Ideas & Improvements for DumaOS
As above we do use mlabs, people do seem to get slower speeds to them, possibly due to the routing to those servers or depending on the server it connects you to. Use the sites you know you get accurate results from and use those values -
Okay that's good, experiment with Congestion Control and let us know how you get on!

Try different values, every connection is different so you may just need to experiment a little to find what works best for you. How do you have Traffic Prioritization set?

AION CLASSIC SUPPORT (GEO-FILTER)
Netduma Fraser replied to Shiryou21's topic in New Games for the Geo-Filter
I'm assuming this is on PC so in the Device Manager set your PC as a PlayStation then go to the Geo-Filter add your PC and select the manual option, then see if the above works for you -
XR1000 with PPPoE and congestion control
Netduma Fraser replied to Jackal235's topic in NETGEAR Nighthawk Support (XR range)
We're working on resolving that issue, for the moment if you can have your ISP modem/router handle PPPoE that will then allow Congestion Control for Upload to work so you can bring down that bufferbloat result -
Your base connection does have some jitter/spikes up to ~10ms which isn't ideal and there isn't much we can do about that. Ping Under Load at that rating would indicate that QoS needs to be fine tuned some more. It's best to start with a high value for Congestion Control, say 95% then do a test, decrease by 10%, test, decrease by 10% etc, until you get to a value that is pretty good and then try 5% either side of that value to see if it can be improved. It's important to note that Download & Upload on Congestion Control don't have to be the same value and that you may have a better experience with differing values.

What is your ping to the game as shown by the Geo-Filter and what is it in game? Can you provide screenshots of your QoS and Geo-Filter pages please?

Are you using Mirror Mode for WiFi or have you disabled this?

Welcome R2 owners! We want your feedback!
Netduma Fraser replied to Netduma Alex's topic in Netduma R2 Support
We don't have them in the UK but I know what you mean regarding their "speedtest". The speeds for you aren't varying by much and you have a lot to play with anyway so you could go 950 down, 24 up to split the difference. -
It's not easy and that's what we will be doing once ready
-
Can you provide a screenshot of what you see when trying to access please? You have Early Access so it's worth trying a newer version from there to see if that helps - we posted a new one today.

Firmware 3.2 for XR500
Netduma Fraser replied to Stilts29's topic in NETGEAR Nighthawk Support (XR range)
Added! -
Not too much to add really, we recently released the next beta for the XR500 which was the next step we wanted/needed to achieve before the XR700 so we're definitely closer to a release I've asked the team to do it this week, I'll chase them again tomorrow

Best QoS configuration for XR1000
Netduma Fraser replied to Shotgunrider77's topic in NETGEAR Nighthawk Support (XR range)
I would recommend having a look through our optimal settings guides: https://support.netduma.com/en/support/solutions/folders/16000090646 Gaming doesn't use much bandwidth so by prioritizing the Xbox everything else will still have plenty. Primarily you'll want to use Congestion Control and Traffic Prioritization to ensure your connection works the best. -
