We certainly will get that done though quite a few of the features on the app won't work as the R1 doesn't have the firmware to support them
-
It doesn't matter which auth server you connect to, you should still be able to find games in the US with an EU auth server being used
-
What are you seeing when trying to access, that disconnect message? If so are you trying to access using routerlogin.net? If you are then use the IP instead
-
Probably one that we have yet to add, you can deny it if you wish but it'll probably mean you won't get a game
-
Reboot the router, wait 2 minutes then access and it should work correctly again
-
Can't really share anything at the moment but we'll show it off as soon as we can!

some problems XR500
Netduma Fraser replied to Wantox81's topic in NETGEAR Nighthawk Support (XR range)
Very strange, did you try the above methods? -
Just to clarify your issues: You're getting the Rapp not loaded message? Is this on all pages or specific pages? Bufferbloat - you didn't actually mention the issue you were having with this, could you expand please or is this the WiFi issue you're referring to? WiFi goes laggy/slow The further back in firmware you go the more likely you are to have issues so best to stay on the latest or the old beta for the moment. Yes there will be new firmware coming that should be more stable. Try this for your WiFi issue specifically: While connected via ethernet, disable WiFi radios entirely from the Advanced WiFi settings, reboot the router from the interface, wait 2 minutes, access, enable WiFi radios, apply, reboot from the interface, wait 2 minutes then see if they appear and if it's more stable from then on.

If your settings haven't changed and the experience differs then the constant is unlikely to be the cause and more likely the servers that you connect to that change and experience differences in load. We're still working on improving that currently so probably best to use manual currently.
-
What we're working on goes beyond that and should give much better performance!
-
It's definitely just authentication and blocking it would prevent you getting a game but try this: Quit the application/game/client completely Remove device from the Geo-Filter Give PC PlayStation Device Type in the Device Manager (if on PC) Resync from the Geo-Filter Map menu Re-add the device to the Geo-Filter with the manual option Set up the Geo-Filter how you like Wait 2 minutes Boot up application/game/client Then see if it works better.

Issues with GbE LAN vs 2.5GbE LAN on XR1000
Netduma Fraser replied to Jess's topic in NETGEAR Nighthawk Support (XR range)
Hey, welcome to the forum! That's very interesting, I don't think we've had anyone report this behavior specifically when using that kind of network adapter. I will make a ticket for this issue, however, the ports on the router are limited to 1Gbps. -
Xr500 problema QOS upload
Netduma Fraser replied to herbert's topic in NETGEAR Nighthawk Support (XR range)
Hola, te he dado acceso al foro beta para que pruebes el firmware allí pero también para que cuando se resuelva puedas probarlo rápidamente. https://forum.netduma.com/forum/145-nighthawk-pro-gaming-beta/ -
We're working on some big changes to QoS at the moment so once available it would be good to see what people think then!

Best router with geo filter and hybrid VPN
Netduma Fraser replied to CynicalJedi's topic in Community Discussion
Either will work, what we usually say is if you care more about software then go with the R2, if you care more about hardware then go with the XR series. -
We do have that enabled which makes it a bit more difficult to prevent but I'll see what I can do.

DoS attack: Fraggle Attack legit or false
Netduma Fraser replied to Baturi's topic in NETGEAR Nighthawk Support (XR range)
As above! Unless you're seeing any issues coinciding with those entries you can safely ignore them -
Yeah it could be the servers or that when you play closer you're severely impacted by lag compensation for some reason and then when playing further away it's actually helping you

some problems XR500
Netduma Fraser replied to Wantox81's topic in NETGEAR Nighthawk Support (XR range)
You could try by putting it in the DMZ but if that doesn't work I don't really know what would be limiting you. You could also try making Traffic Controller rules to allow traffic for both the phone and console. -
Have you managed to get a single good game at all? Currently there isn't a specific indicator of what could be a good game or not, could you try force some with a higher ping to see if they play any better?

No you don't need to do that, you can set it and forget it and close the window -
How to open NAT at XR500 for warzone
Netduma Fraser replied to gkontos10's topic in Call of Duty Support
Good advice above, alternatively, if you set NAT to Open in WAN Settings that should do it -
Great thanks, keep them coming!

You can't block those servers as they're required for online play - he was just joking
