Can you take a screenshot of the rule please? Can you take a screenshot of a completed Connection Benchmark test? You can keep WAN as their defaults -

The wrong credentials are being used, enter the serial number from the bottom of the router in and you can reset it -

Ah I see what you're doing, not the Device Manager on your PC, the Device Manager on the router interface -
Unable to get into a game using Geo-Filter
Netduma Fraser replied to Kaveman42's topic in Call of Duty Support
Delete it from the Geo-Filter, go to the Device Manager and click on your device, then on the window that appears you can change the device type from there and then you can re-add it to the Geo-Filter with the manual option. -
Updates on eFootball 2024
Netduma Fraser replied to euphidra's topic in NETGEAR Nighthawk Support (XR range)
Improvements in terms of connection quality? Unlikely as generally it does increase your ping, there isn't a specific VPN we recommend. DMZ doesn't create any port forwarding rules so whatever that is you can delete it -
Change Region in wireless
Netduma Fraser replied to mohands's topic in NETGEAR Nighthawk Support (XR range)
It's region locked to the place of purchase, however, this may help you get it changed: https://community.netgear.com/t5/Orbi-Wi-Fi-5-AC-and-Orbi-with/Change-region/td-p/2025003 -

NEW XR700 BETA FIRMWARE: 3.3.363
Netduma Fraser replied to Netduma Lew's topic in NETGEAR Nighthawk Support (XR range)
Here is another topic where someone had the exact same issue 2 years ago and this comment specifically explains why it may be a problem: So probably best to contact Netgear and see what they can do. -

Yeah I mentioned it's an issue we're looking into, I'm referring to the YT/Netflix streams while gaming -

Can you provide a screenshot of the Network Monitor when a stream and gaming is happening at the same time please? -
Problems since release: WiFi - IPTV - QoS
Netduma Fraser replied to Pwnaye's topic in Netduma R2 Support
Looks pretty good, may only need a slight tweak to get those small spikes out, try 65/65 and run the test again. Also when gaming try disabling Traffic Prioritization and see if that stops the stream buffering. -

70% is a good starting point but it may not necessarily be the value that works best for you. Could you provide a screenshot of a completed Connection Benchmark test please? -

Try the above for WiFi disconnects, it's most likely interference which those suggestions will help with. What do you usually have Congestion Control set to? -
Updates on eFootball 2024
Netduma Fraser replied to euphidra's topic in NETGEAR Nighthawk Support (XR range)
That's right, Normal for wired devices, Gaming/Voice for wireless devices. You can enable Apply to WAN, if your ISP supports priority tags you may notice an improvement, if not it's fine to keep enabled. Yes that's right. -

You can leave MTU at the default setting. Generally yes it would be good to keep UPnP enabled as other devices would rely on it but if you're not encountering any issues you could leave it disabled. -
NEW XR700 BETA FIRMWARE: 3.3.363
Netduma Fraser replied to Netduma Lew's topic in NETGEAR Nighthawk Support (XR range)
It's not specific to this beta I know that for certain, otherwise we would have had a lot more people experiencing it, however you will find on the Netgear site people who have experienced the same thing with other versions. For whatever reason an upgrade can sometimes trigger it to not work. As of yet I have seen no permanent fix for this and I have advised everyone who has experienced it in the past to contact Netgear about it. Given the XR700 is no longer made it's unlikely they would be able to provide a replacement if you were within the warranty period. As I mentioned WiFi isn't our domain so I will pass it on for a dev to have a look but I don't like the odds that they'll be able to do anything. They're also very busy so may not have a chance to look at it until next week. -
XR500 setup with Virgin Media Hub 3.0
Netduma Fraser replied to endo2406's topic in NETGEAR Nighthawk Support (XR range)
That looks okay, I take it there aren't any other devices in the immediate vicinity? For the XR1000, change the mode on 5GHz from 4800Mbps to the next one down, I believe it's 2400Mbps and see if that works better please. Ah to reset then you would need to do so in Settings > Administration > Backup Settings > Erase -
Could you make a new topic for your issue please and we'll be happy to help there. Include what you have tried so far as well please.

There are no 'best' settings that work for everyone, there are settings that we recommend you start with and then experiment from there. Yes you should do that for the Geo-Filter but set Ping Assist to 0. For QoS it's entirely up to you and what your network usage is like, if you want it to always apply as people are often streaming or downloading for example then always would be a good choice. If you only want it to apply when you're gaming then use auto enable. We suggest starting with 70% and going from there. You can use Connection Benchmark, specifically the Ping Under Load as an indicator of whether you need to fine tune Congestion Control - you want that graph to look as close to the Ping Test graph as possible.
