Netduma behind an Eero mesh network
Netduma Fraser replied to TxFrog33's topic in Netduma R3 Support
It won't see them as online necessarily but all the features will still work. How is the Geo not working exactly? Can you provide a screenshot of the page? -

cant access xr500
Netduma Fraser replied to rjaaayyy's topic in NETGEAR Nighthawk Support (XR range)
I can see it, could you do another via ethernet when the same thing has happened please? Also you mentioned " i hard wired laptop to the xr500 while in bridge mode" are you referring to the ISP modem/router being in bridge mode or you've set the XR500 in AP mode? -
Enable the Geo-Filter, do the test, check the map fully zoomed out, do you notice anything being blocked? If so add it to the allow list and try the test again, if another appears then allow it, you may need to do it a few times to get all the servers, see if it works then

Great news, look forward to an update!

NEW R3 FIRMWARE - DumaOS 4.0.540
Netduma Fraser replied to Netduma Alex's topic in Netduma R3 Support
Is that on this firmware version? Are you saying the router reboots itself when you click save after entering the ID or it disconnects then reconnects without it being saved? Great to hear! Correct, if the R3 can't control the whole network then it won't be as effective in that sense Yes you can do so via the DumaOS app or accessing via a web browser -
Could you add everything with a reserved IP on the R3 please so we can rule it out? It should only take a few minutes as only clicking is required

cant access xr500
Netduma Fraser replied to rjaaayyy's topic in NETGEAR Nighthawk Support (XR range)
The purpose of QoS is to ensure that all your devices can be used at the same time without causing each other to lag/buffer and to place priorities on devices you choose. Giving the game more bandwidth wouldn't do anything, this is across the board, the game requires a certain amount of bandwidth and that's it, every game uses very little. -
Added Added - you'll need to access it from the forum - https://forum.netduma.com/forum/144-netduma-r2-early-access/ Added - there is only the one update for it so far

You need to do it on the ISP modem/router, not on the R3, you should be able to pick the R3 from the device list and reserve its IP

R3 Geo-filter showing in active since 4.0.540 update
Netduma Fraser replied to tobyobie1's topic in Netduma R3 Support
Do this: Quit the application/game/client completely Remove device from the Geo-Filter Give PC PlayStation Device Type in the Device Manager Resync from the Geo-Filter Map menu Re-add the device to the Geo-Filter Set up the Geo-Filter how you like Wait 2 minutes Boot up application/game/client It should work better then -
Is it when you're in the lobby and searching for a game that it just never finds one? What platform are you playing on and how is it connected, via ethernet or WiFi? How have you setup the Geo-Filter - can you provide a screenshot please?

Looks like the DHCP renewing, have you got the devices set with a reserved IP?
-
Nothing different than when it's on a long time frame, just happens more frequently - it's similar to leasing a car or apartment, the agreement is for a set amount of time, when that time is up you may move and have a new car or address, that's exactly what happens with the IP address, when that lease time runs out you'll get a new IP address, this can result in a brief disconnection while the change happens. By extending the lease time you hold on to your existing IP address for longer, thereby delaying the frequency of these connections. Now, what isn't clear at the moment is whether the DHCP lease you've changed is the correct lease or not. If it works then it will be, if not then it will specifically be the public IP lease which you'd need to contact your ISP to extend.

Old router not working need to full reset
Netduma Fraser replied to todd999's topic in Netduma R2 Support
Hold the reset button in the back for 30 seconds, release, wait 4 minutes then access -
I don't know what your setup is but potentially yes, extend it to a week for example and see how you get on
-
At least in this scenario your public IP changed but the connection should have only been down very briefly, see if your ISP can extend the lease time on the IP and that will help
