Worse Bufferbloat and various issues with R3
Netduma Fraser replied to canuckftc12W's topic in Netduma R3 Support
It's hard to say without the graph showing properly but it is only adding a 5ms delay so that's the maximum it's seeing that it is fluctuating and your ping is low anyway so you probably could disable it and not notice the fluctuations much. It will change what it suggests depending on the time of day etc so may not always provide the best value for a whole day if you see what I mean. -
This is everything that could help really: Use a WiFi analyzer to find the least congested channel and change to that Experiment with the widths to see what gives better results Ensure it's in an elevated position - not on a metal surface Ensure there aren't any electrical / wireless devices e.g headphones etc within close proximity ~3 feet if possible Set the antennae to this position _ | | _

Aide pour eliminé mon bufferbloat via le r2
Netduma Fraser replied to Hmz's topic in Netduma R2 Support
Everything looks fine, although it seems UPnP is opening ports for a device that has been deleted/no longer connected to the router so disable UPnP, reboot from the interface, wait 2 minutes, enable then reboot, and try again -
Is that a modem/router or a pure modem? Can you set a static WAN IP on the modem for the R3 for example?
-
More luck but everytime you know you're playing on a server you add it to your allow list and keep doing that until you've got a good number then put your location in the ocean. In theory it should then only get you a game from the servers you've allowed.

Could you clarify what you mean by login sites not working? To access the interface go to http://192.168.1.1 or http://routerlogin.net in your web browser

Thanks for the kind words! I'd suggest upgrading manually personally and if you have any issues that you don't have now you can always downgrade

RPC error 'ERROR_VALIDATION': Validation failed for 'ips'
Netduma Fraser replied to sacha's topic in Community Discussion
Could you provide more context on where/when you're getting this error? If it occurred after changing anything for example? -
The latest firmware is the .68 version available from the Netgear site, there isn't another firmware with a later DumaOS version than that currently
-
No we don't have the ability to do that unfortunately, I'm not sure if it would be possible to do so either as I suspect it's only detectable when you're actually in the game

Thank you for the logs, I will pass that on. In the meantime do try the above and see if that helps at all. I've responded to your topic.

Worse Bufferbloat and various issues with R3
Netduma Fraser replied to canuckftc12W's topic in Netduma R3 Support
No it doesn't but I think it should function that way, right now it applies to any device that is gaming, whether it is added or not. The jitter there is really minimal so that looks fine to me -
Right okay that's interesting, I don't think you would be able to force it to use servers over peers
-
I've replied in your topic, lets continue there
-
Thank you, I'll pass that onto the team to have a look at. In the meantime what is the model of the modem/router the R3 is connected to? How often are you noticing this happen? Is the R3 using DHCP, PPPoE or VLAN?
-
I can't see that you've really made any posts about any issues you might be having, if you are having issues do make a new topic and we can help. Just because you may have issues doesn't mean everyone is as evidenced by some posts after yours. Also don't forget this is a support forum so primarily you will only see people posting issues. Were you having this on the previous versions? If not then may be worth downgrading while we look into it. If you get that error what do you need to do to gain access again? What are you getting direct to the modem? Make sure you don't have any wireless devices e.g. headphones, bluetooth etc within ~3 feet of the router, 2.4 is more susceptible to interference.

Ping problem with local file transfer
Netduma Fraser replied to carmine19's topic in Netduma R3 Support
You mention the in game ping goes up, are you playing on the rog or the PC that is sending/receiving the traffic? If so then I would expect that to happen -
Thank you, I will pass that onto the team and see if there is anything helpful there. In the meantime change Congestion Control manually in Ping Optimizer > Advanced.

So the game has a kind of server/P2P hybrid model?

So I tried to reproduce this n the same firmware version. The site still functions, however no videos played for me at all, as soon as I deleted the rules they were allowed to play. This is the expected behavior. I didn't have YouTube open already before I made the rule, if you did have it open while making the rule that is probably why yours didn't work and mine did. Make sure YouTube is fully closed on the device, wait 2 minutes, this should be enough for any connections to it to be severed, then make the rule then go back and see if you get the same behavior I did.
