Export and Import Saved (Allow & Deny) Servers
Netduma Fraser replied to Jumppy_15's topic in Netduma R3 Support
Yes I do usually advise it, especially if there has been a lot of changes and I do think it helps but the devs say it is no longer a requirement. -
Great, thanks for the update!

Set the speeds manually, the test it uses, depending on your location to it etc may give you lower results. See what you get using speedtest.net
-
Doesn't say much, just that it has timed out so that could be for any of the reasons I mentioned previously. We are aware of it so we'll improve it. I don't have any ETAs on specific fixes, we'll do what we can to boost the speed.

Okay so it sounds like you may need PPPoE or VLAN potentially for a connection when directly connected to the modem. Check your ISP router internet settings and that should tell you more. It could also be that your ISP requires their router to be used.
-
Glad you were able to get it sorted, thanks for the update!

You'd have to find a gaming VPN that provides OpenVPN configuration files for you to use with the router, you'll just need to research

How do I vpn but only for Warzone and not my web browser
Netduma Fraser replied to Cdog77's topic in Call of Duty Support
There will be a bandwidth hit for using it on the router, that's why it's beneficial to use the Hybrid aspect. If you use Only VPN these services and add Call of Duty to it then that should achieve what you want. Allowing Twitch etc to go through your normal connection. -
Geo-Filter Not Working for The Finals
Netduma Fraser replied to DaBoy98's topic in Netduma R3 Support
Thanks for the report, I think we did do a DPI update so could you resync the cloud on SmartBOOST and see if that is still the case? If so then I'll pass it on to be corrected. -
Export and Import Saved (Allow & Deny) Servers
Netduma Fraser replied to Jumppy_15's topic in Netduma R3 Support
There isn't a way no but it has been requested so may be included in the future. It's not necessary to factory reset after an update if you don't want to. -
Pretty much all the updates we've done so far are for bugs fixes and improvements, more will be coming. Also gaming doesn't use much bandwidth so it's expected that other devices will use more. Priority doesn't mean it gets the most speed.
-
Bufferbloat only occurs when your connection is completely saturated i.e. all your speeds are being used so yes that can still happen. Make sure to prioritize your game, force the closest servers and you should have a better experience.
-
The only way it could improve it really is if the routing to the VPN server is better
-
With your scenario, as long as you're not doing anything else online or downloading and devices aren't online then you should be okay without it.
-
It's just a different way of filtering which is controlled in the same way, using your radius so if one doesn't work well try the other

Geo-Filter Not Working for The Finals
Netduma Fraser replied to DaBoy98's topic in Netduma R3 Support
That's really great to hear, thanks for the kind words! -
It won't necessarily say but might do. Did you have repeated failed tests by any chance?

Netduma R3 Geo filter 2.0 issue
Netduma Fraser replied to Cynical's topic in Feature Ideas & Improvements for DumaOS
Interesting okay, we would usually test with solos so I will ask the team to see if they can try to reproduce it. -
Thanks for the reminders, they do help, I will keep chasing
-
It still thinks you're in the UK then so it's caching the connection, once you've made the changes reboot the console then try
-
Disable IPv6 in LAN/WAN and then see if it adheres to your settings please

Geo-Filter Not Working for The Finals
Netduma Fraser replied to DaBoy98's topic in Netduma R3 Support
Some games don't respond to pings very well or have certain restrictions around them so it may not always be possible to ping but we will do what we can to make that possible -
You can do that yes, it doesn't have to be the main router but for QoS purposes at least, it would work much better in that scenario. If you just want to use it for the Geo-Filter that setup will absolutely work.
