We are aware Ping Optimizer/Speed Test isn't 100% reliable at the moment and it's something the team will work on when they're back from the holidays. Those features can still work, it just may not be every time. I'll send you the .23 firmware via PM, once upgraded do a factory reset and then see whether those other points have improved please.

Disable GeoLatency Disable PingAssist (set it to 0,0) Enable Strict Mode Disable Fast Search Then restart game or wait 10 minutes (in the lobby in the game). If that doesn't work, reboot PC/Console and it should work then. In terms of the difference in ping, the in game ping includes processing delay, all games have it but not all choose to include it in their ping calculation. It's not something we can calculate. If the in game ping is up to 30ms higher roughly then the game should play well, anything higher than that could indicate the server is under heavy load and it's best to try to force a different server.

R3 > Oribi (AP mode) > Device Manager
Netduma Fraser replied to mindlash's topic in Netduma R3 Support
As it's being used in AP mode you should actually see all the devices connected to the Orbi actually shown individually on the R3 so you can manage them - is this not the case? -
Internet Speed halfed... 1000mbps to 500mbps
Netduma Fraser replied to 1_EYE_WIDGEYWOO's topic in Netduma R3 Support
It's basically the same as modem mode except you keep the normal routing functions of the hub. It passes all traffic straight through to the DMZd device. Yes absolutely continue to use the R3 for everything - you can turn off the hub WiFi also. The R3 has its own firewall so it's safe to do so. -
New firmware still on 4.0.21 geo filter issue
Netduma Fraser replied to Harrypall23's topic in Netduma R3 Support
I've sent the firmware via PM, it does have Geo-Filter improvements so may help here. Would recommend once the upgrade is complete to do a factory reset. -

Pour le moment, vous devrez utiliser la configuration avancée en récupérant le fichier de configuration à partir de "pure" et en l'utilisant là-bas.

Geo-Filter isn't blocking servers outside radius
Netduma Fraser replied to pdiorio's topic in Netduma R3 Support
@Spdsk8race Thank you for the feedback, it's much appreciated, to comment on some of the points you made: We're definitely aware the Geo-Filter needs more work so the team will be looking into that Stats for nerds will still show when SmartBOOST isn't enabled as it will still show traffic going through devices etc on a deeper level, it just shouldn't show anything being prioritized - glad you like it though! On support/issues, my whole job is to support customers, troubleshoot issues and report bugs essentially. It is a complex product, of course we've been around for awhile now so there are people who are more familiar with how it works/are more tech savvy but there are also those who aren't or are not used to interacting with a router other than to connect to the WiFi or reboot it. I have to do my due diligence, networking has so many variables as it is and with all the added options on the router it compounds that. I have to be sure when an issue is on the user side or on the software side. Depending on the issue this can take a long time to determine or a short time. If it's a legitimate issue then I'll report it to the devs but I can't assume every issue someone posts requires dev input. I'm essentially the flood gate for the devs in that sense. In terms of topics and responding to the same things, it's understandable as we've just launched that this is going to happen, however given my experience I'm confident I have plucked out all the issues requiring dev attention. With every report I usually provide a link to at least one topic that provides the most information about the issue or links to a couple if needed. We have tried certain methods in the past to contain things better but as the forum is at the heart of support, people will post wherever they want usually, the forum software doesn't have the power for me to pigeon hole people into responding in the correct places. Also people don't like reading generally! If it does get too bad though I will do something to take the pressure off, like this post: https://forum.netduma.com/topic/52852-netduma-r3-launch-faqs/ I posted that 2 weeks ago and probably 50% of that post is posted elsewhere as new topics/comments. Overall, the support/issue reporting is a bid mad at the moment but that's just due to the launch, it was the same with the R2, once new firmware starts rolling out and fixes most of the reported issues it will quieten down again. Ping Optimizer not working with SmartBOOST disabled makes sense as this disables Congestion Control which Ping Optimizer uses. I think port forwarding is working, it's just not showing its working - the team are aware. For everything else thanks for the information, I will pass it onto the team. -
It's not required, however, as there has been quite a few versions I would recommend it, I think the performance would be better if you did.

Some issues I encountered with firmware .23
Netduma Fraser replied to TG3NOC1D3's topic in Netduma R3 Support
Thanks for the feedback, the only changes from .21 to .23 was some Geo-Filter improvements so it should not have caused anything else to change in the way it behaves at all. It is possible to be able to stabilize a server but not be able to ping it - I'm not caught up on the technical details of why that happens. Could you do a factory reset and see if some of the issues you mentioned are lessened? As there has been a few updates a reset would be good to clear any remnants from the previous versions. Once new firmware starts arriving I think it'll take care of 99% of the issues people are seeing. -
Upgrading from R1 straight to R3
Netduma Fraser replied to lefteris.lydios's topic in Netduma R3 Support
Is SmartBOOST showing it's prioritizing you when you're playing? What do you have Congestion Control set to? -
Does anybody know when the new firmware is suppose to drop?
Netduma Fraser replied to Zepplike's topic in Netduma R3 Support
I would recommend doing so as there has been a few firmware versions since launch and will help to clear out any remnants caused by previous versions - it may clear that issue also. Disable GeoLatency Disable PingAssist (set it to 0,0) Enable Strict Mode Disable Fast Search Then restart game or wait 10 minutes (in the lobby in the game). If that doesn't work, reboot PC/Console and it should work then. -
