Future of Netduma R2, users should be concerned?
Netduma Fraser replied to Mostwest's topic in Netduma R2 Support
I can ask the devs and they can give me an estimate and then I can provide that to you and then what happens is an estimate becomes a firm date in the eyes of customers and then that leads to annoyance when it is missed. So there isn't a benefit to me providing one. We want to ensure DumaOS 4 is stable before porting it to the R2, we're not going to rush it out. It's great you wanting to see it on the R2 and it will be coming but I'm not going to provide a date. -
For the disconnect issue, the team are asking, when you get the issue: On command prompt, enter ping google.com and provide a screenshot of the results Then enter ping 8.8.8.8 and provide a screenshot of the results Check if the UI loads ok Are there any specific symptoms that caused it to happen? i.e. IPv6 connection, playing a game while watching a YouTube video or a teams call?

For not being able to access, the team are asking: While connected to the router via a Windows PC, open command prompt, type ipconfig press enter, does the 192.168.77.1 IP show for the gateway? Are devices receiving the normal 192.168.77.x IP addresses? What lights are lit up on the router? Is it always only a reboot that fixes the issue? -

Duma OS wouldn't open, reboot R3 to fix problems.
Netduma Fraser replied to COD WARFARE's topic in Netduma R3 Support
Okay the Xbox in the DMZ will be why we can't connect. If you remove that we can try again tomorrow. Maybe, it has been a theory I've seen around that IPv6 on is causing some issues. -
Sounds like we have probably whitelisted the server, if you provide the ID for it/them we can take a look and get them removed
-
Understood, if you're no longer able to get an Open NAT direct to the modem then I'd first contact your provider and they may be able to help, if they say it's not possible then the static IP is what you would need to do.

connecting outside of my red for a 3rd time
Netduma Fraser replied to Westy147's topic in Netduma R3 Support
The filtering has been disabled - it says filter off on the right, you'll need to enable it -
Just so you know, the purpose of the router isn't to force far away servers, it's to get you close servers that ensure a low ping so doing what you're trying to do is not a guarantee. You can see the terms here: https://netduma.com/terms

New user - experiencing setting up problem
Netduma Fraser replied to gman's topic in Call of Duty Support
You need to enable Filtering Mode otherwise it isn't doing anything. If you're wanting to force servers then you need to put Ping Assist to 0. Otherwise that's correct -
Just to clarify, did you say you have never had an Open NAT on your connection? Yes if it is a CG-NAT requesting a static IPv4 public IP address would allow you to get an Open NAT?

I'll chase him, I'm asking about a few games this week so hopefully he'll have time to test them

I don't have any new information currently, it is/will support the XR1000

Could you provide a screenshot of what you're seeing when it happens please? Do you notice any patterns of when it stops working? -
Okay thank you, I'll pass it onto the team to look at

I'm sure I've mentioned the steps to you previously about how to prevent that right? Are you changing Geo-Filter settings/radius size etc while on the game? -
Okay so just the dashboard, that's okay, it's just not reporting it correctly but it is working. We'll be addressing that.

How to use Geo Filter on Destiny 2 Now
Netduma Fraser replied to Jayco93's topic in NETGEAR Nighthawk Support (XR range)
It would allow any servers within the radius, the game will pick whichever one it wants to if there are multiple covered
