Suddenly getting rx and tx packet loss?
Netduma Fraser replied to lockit14's topic in NETGEAR Nighthawk Support (XR range)
The most likely scenario in this case is the ethernet cable used to connect the PC to the router or the router to the ONT isn't working correctly, if you swap these out for different cables do you get the same issue? -
Yes it will apply to a console, you'll need to copy the contents of the OVPN or Wireguard configuration file, enter it into the router and enter your VPN credentials, then make a rule for your device. If you're having trouble with the connecting part please provide the config files, otherwise a screenshot of the rules if you're having trouble applying it.

It's not necessary to factory reset after updates. You won't be able to ping every game server, that is normal, we will be implementing a new ping system in future which may help prevent that though

A company creates a product and then provides support, it's just standard practice. I will continue to help people if they ask for it and in this occasion, attempt to help people who don't ask for it or want it. I appreciate how you feel, you're frustrated and annoyed by it, now you've made a post essentially to vent your anger because I suggested we might help you and you feel that you've struggled this entire time, I get it. However, your 3 years of troubleshooting isn't the same as my 10 years experience living it day in day out, now you may have issues that are not fixable through troubleshooting and that's fine but you can't know for certain until you engage with us. I know I can't resolve everyone's issues, the very nature of software demands that there will be bugs. My job is two fold, attempt to resolve/answer any issues/questions and if I'm unable to, pass it on to a developer to have a look at for a potential workaround/fix to be implemented. It would have been very easy for me to have ignored your tweet, you obviously didn't want assistance and were just looking to vent as we all sometimes need to do but out of hours we actively engage with difficult issues so that people like you can have a better experience if at all possible. Could you provide a video of what you're seeing with the loading please? Preferably using https://jam.dev as that will provide us with extra information from the browser. Are you saying changing the upload speed then affects the download speed or changing the upload congestion control percentage then affects the download speed? Are you adding it with normal or gaming/voice? What about apply to WAN? If you're looking in settings at the names we know about that but it shouldn't happen in the Device Manager - are they all directly connected to the router or are you using switches, extenders, APs etc? So you just update the name and it doesn't change whatsoever? Are you using symbols in the names? The fact that not one device gets named correctly is not something I've ever seen before, hence a video would help. It may seem absolutely pointless to you but it would help me help you. If we could just focus on the troubleshooting I'd appreciate it, otherwise it just seems you want to vent without actually hoping to solve the issue. Either way we apologise that you feel this way and hope you may try it again in future perhaps when the beta arrives. Are you basing that on the content of a support forum? If so then you're only ever going to see issues and questions here which then provides a very one sided view of the overall picture. You've never made a post about any issues so if you make a new topic we can help you there.

NEW R3 FIRMWARE - DumaOS 4.0.290
Netduma Fraser replied to Netduma Jack B's topic in Netduma R3 Support
I've given you Early Access, please try this firmware and see if that resolves it: https://forum.netduma.com/topic/56332-r3-disconnections/page/14/#comment-424833 -
Can you provide a screenshot of the Geo-Filter page showing what you see when you get a game outside your radius please? Preferably using a PC to do so.

I've given you Early Access, could you try this firmware specifically for the disconnects please: https://forum.netduma.com/topic/56332-r3-disconnections/page/14/#comment-424833 If it fixes the connecting to the games as well please let me know!

What platform are you playing on specifically and if on a PC what client are you using?

My settings for Good Hit detection MW3 <R3 Router
Netduma Fraser replied to Spritekid242's topic in Call of Duty Support
They're on a very old firmware, you've mirrored the settings correctly with the ports- 194 replies

Any of the devices struggling to connect to those games are they added to the Geo-Filter? If so if you disable the Geo-Filter for them does that issue continue? What is the model of the modem/router the R3 is connected to and how have you set that to ensure all traffic flows to the R3? E.g. R3 in its DMZ, modem/bridge mode

Call of duty content VS Call of duty series.
Netduma Fraser replied to Nj12's topic in Call of Duty Support
The Call of Duty content one is an indicator you're on the beta cloud - I suspect they forgot to remove the Call of Duty series one as they should both be prioritizing the same -
NEW R3 FIRMWARE - DumaOS 4.0.290
Netduma Fraser replied to Netduma Jack B's topic in Netduma R3 Support
Okay don't run the tests when you're gaming, it will disconnect you, if you don't do that then you'll be fine -
That's for circumventing SBMM and it's not something we support - if you use a VPN it's to change your location to that server
-
Try this: Quit the application/game/client completely Remove device from the Geo-Filter Resync from the Geo-Filter Map menu Re-add the device to the Geo-Filter with the manual option Set up the Geo-Filter to cover the servers Wait 2 minutes Boot up application/game/client Then see if it works better.

That would be in WAN > Advanced

The game uses servers and I don't believe there are any in that area, use Ping Heatmap to identify the server locations then adjust your Geo-Filter to play on those

Just to be clear, I provide support, I'm not a developer, you can get as agitated with me as much as you like but I assure you it does nothing to help you, me or your issues. If you would like support then I will be happy to continue to assist you, this is your first post on the forum, you may have seen topics and posts previously but until you receive directed support for your issues I feel it's hard to provide a generalisation. If you don't want support and are instead seeing this as a challenge or a way to show us up or make you feel better then I implore you to tell me now so I can spend my time helping others that would like our support. Are you using Armor? Are you using HTTPS or HTTP to access the interface? Setting your speed tells the router the maximum bandwidth it has available, hence why the speed will then change. There has always been a workaround to allow you to filter/prioritize on PC. How are you determining it is missing packets exactly? Could you provide a video of how you're updating the names please on the Device Manager? Without a screenshot of the QoS page and a better overview of your network at the time of testing it's hard to determine what is happening there but: If you have Congestion Control set it will affect the speeds on those devices If other devices are being used at the time when testing it will affect the speeds on those devices If other devices require more bandwidth than their allocation then it will affect the speeds on those devices What is the model of the modem/router the XR is connected to and how have you set that to ensure all traffic flows to the XR? E.g. XR in its DMZ, modem/bridge mode. Are ALL devices connected to the XR? Are they connected directly or are they connected through switches, extenders, APs etc? I agree a firmware update has taken too long, you're not wrong there.

NEW R3 FIRMWARE - DumaOS 4.0.290
Netduma Fraser replied to Netduma Jack B's topic in Netduma R3 Support
@Truegamingthat's but when you're getting kicked off the PS for example are you running a test at that point? Fair enough, it is still Early Access so improvements will be made -
Once BO6 is available we'll be doing this and that should then apply to any previous CoD versions also
