NEW R3 FIRMWARE - DumaOS 4.0.290
Netduma Fraser replied to Netduma Jack B's topic in Netduma R3 Support
You can find it here: https://support.netduma.com/firmwares/netduma-r3/ -
No it's unnecessary
-
Thank you, I'll pass that on! We'll most likely be doing another one with the B06 release so a week or so perhaps
-
Have you disabled share excess by any chance? How do you have Traffic Prioritization set?
-
The test on the console is an estimate, I believe it says this, it doesn't mean you aren't getting those speeds. With a wired PC and QoS on what speeds do you get on speedtest.net? How do you have Traffic Prioritization set?
-
Bandwidth Allocation doesn't mean the device will take all that speed - gaming also requires less than 1Mbps generally and giving it more won't make it use it. Could you provide a screenshot of your QoS page please?
-
Great, as soon as I get the ID i'll pass it onto the team to get it added in the next cloud update
-
The devs will have to look into that, it's not a quick thing

Suddenly getting rx and tx packet loss?
Netduma Fraser replied to lockit14's topic in NETGEAR Nighthawk Support (XR range)
What is the server you're using to run the test exactly? How have you setup the QoS page? It's very unlikely it's faulty otherwise it would be consistently high constantly. Did you change anything physically or in settings just prior to when you saw the issue happen? -
That server should be whitelisted by default - have you denied it? If not could you provide the ID of the server please so we can add it to the global whitelist. You'll need to add it to the allow list for the moment until we do that.

You already have access: https://forum.netduma.com/forum/144-netduma-r2-early-access/

Suddenly getting rx and tx packet loss?
Netduma Fraser replied to lockit14's topic in NETGEAR Nighthawk Support (XR range)
Where are you getting the 1-5% packet loss from? The packet loss on that table is more than acceptable and wouldn't pose an issue at all for streaming -
If you want to use the DNS you set there then toggle off use upstream DNS
-
Messed up in what sense? No worries at all, it's always appreciated!
-
Settings that may work well on a previous version may need to be tweaked on later versions. The WiFi speeds could likely be improved by adjusting some WiFi settings but no worries. I'll take the info about SmartBOOST not detecting GTA to the team to resolve.

NEW R3 FIRMWARE - DumaOS 4.0.290
Netduma Fraser replied to Netduma Jack B's topic in Netduma R3 Support
As long as it is recovering itself within 5 minutes that's good and expected for that firmware, we know what that is and it is actually an indication that firmware is working. Stick with it and for the next one that won't happen. -
So far so good then! It shouldn't happen as much on that version as there was a fix for it in .290 but given .291 is just a quick build for the disconnect issue I can't be sure what it includes compared to .290, even though it's sequential doesn't mean it necessarily has what .290 has. You're in Early Access now so any new firmware posted there we'd be grateful for you to try it out and provide feedback!

I'll add it to the list, thanks for the suggestion
