  1. It's going to be using servers that aren't necessarily as close to you. The benefit of using PingPlotter is you're doing downloads/streams etc while doing it and therefore actually performing tasks you would normally be doing on the internet and adjusting Congestion Control to control the ping in that situation. Therefore it's going to be more accurate and a real world test.
  2. I don't know for certain whether that would be the cause but potentially using them both might be contributing to it. When the issue happens could you grab the logs from the troubleshooting page in settings please?
  3. I wouldn't focus on Connection Benchmark, if you did the real world test with downloads using PingPlotter then it's proof that your connection does not get that bad so just focus on PingPlotter and reducing those spikes if possible. Realistically with Congestion Control set to Auto Enable so it only applies when you're gaming other devices will still have plenty for any activities they need e.g. 4K streams etc.
  4. You're on an older firmware so get yourself upgraded to this one: https://forum.netduma.com/topic/56107-new-r3-firmware-40236/ which is two versions about yours and see if it is any better then please.
  5. Steady Ping is at the top of the Geo-Filter Map, click it and you can disable it from there. Strict etc is in Geo-Filter settings, click the top right of the page and go to settings. Add your device to SmartBOOST as well as that will help. No that's fine, you're using a pure modem there so it doesn't have any settings and they're not needed. Try this: Quit the game and game client completely (e.g. Steam, Battle.net including from the System Tray) Remove device from the Geo-Filter Resync from the Geo-Filter Map menu Re-add the device to the Geo-Filter Set up the Geo-Filter how you like Wait 2 minutes Boot up game Then see if it works better to get the game you want.
  6. Did you factory reset after the update to this version as it should have improved overall I think it probably is as we do know there are improvements to be made with HVPN working better with other features but that's good to know!
  7. The ping is very good to be fair, have you got a smart phone? If so you can monitor the ping using the mobile app to see if you get any fluctuations/spikes. After a reset there are just a few things I would do: Ensure correct speeds are set Adjust Congestion Control (seems like you have good values currently but we can dive deeper into this if needed) Set priorities on SmartBOOST - remove the reservations, they're not needed. Ensure Gaming is set as an activity but also add the device specifically. Check Ping Heatmap for the closest/lowest ping servers to me Setup Geo-Filter for a simple radius of 1000km around my location or cover the servers identified as the best from Heatmap / Geo-Latency off / Strict Mode on / Ping Assist 0 / Steady Ping try with and without Check NAT status on the game - if necessary port forward for a PC or DMZ for a console The server in Ireland is an authentication server required for online play and is therefore automatically allowed by us - it will not impact your game ping.
  8. I'd remove the manual DNS, that might not be helping you, if you want to use one then use 1.1.1.1 and 1.0.0.1
  9. That's bizarre, changing the LAN IP shouldn't have made any difference whatsoever. Was the IP to access the Nokia router 192.168.0.1 by any chance?
  10. Set up with BT credentials does that mean you're using PPPoE on the R3? If so are you able to have the BT hub handle that instead and then see if performance is better?
  11. You'd still be able to access. LAN IPv6 is for local IPv6 addresses which wouldn't be applicable in this scenario. Interesting okay so check the IP on the console when you're connected via WiFi and then again via ethernet, then match these with the IPs on the Device Manager. For the WiFi version of the console what settings have you set up for this? Then again for the wired one, what settings have you done? Make the ethernet device changes the same as the WiFi (remove every change if needed), then check, does it work properly?
  12. Good advice above, in addition, how have you setup Congestion Control/SmartBOOST? What is the model of the modem/router the R3 is connected to and how have you set that to ensure all traffic flows to the R3? E.g. R3 in its DMZ, modem/bridge mode. Are ALL devices connected to the R3?
  13. Could you record this happening with https://jam.dev please? This will record with some extra information that'll be really helpful for the devs, once you're done there will be a button at the end to copy link and then just paste that here.
  14. Access using routerlogin.net/adv_index.htm or 192.168.1.1/adv_index.htm and perform a factory reset from there, wait 4 minutes then see if you can access please
  15. You only need to worry about packet loss if it appears on the bottom graph which you're not seeing so that's fine. There are some little spikes, are you able to reduce those at all?
  16. By manually do you mean you typed in your address or you clicked on the icon and then clicked on the map? As the latter should definitely work and we're aware of the former. The location doesn't need to be pin point accurate, as longs as its in your general area.
  17. Do you only get this on the QoS page? Delete the device from the priority and see if you receive the error making any other changes on that page
  18. What is the game you're playing specifically? When it's doing what is happening in the video, presumably you're searching for a match then and it never gets you a game? I can't provide settings advice for feel based performance, I need concrete stats that may explain why it feels that way for example, what is your ping on the Geo-Filter or in game? When you notice it not performing well has the ping increased a lot suddenly or rapidly going up and down etc? What is the model of the modem/router the R3 is connected to and how have you set that to ensure all traffic flows to the R3? E.g. R3 in its DMZ, modem/bridge mode Congestion Control is that Always or Auto? What about your SmartBOOST priorities? We don't make any hardware comparisons to ISP routers simply because there are 1000's of them and impossible to know what people may have. The hardware isn't what makes the difference (though it's perfectly capable), it's the software.
  19. Confirm you're still physically connected to the router then refresh the page and you should get in then
  20. Is that with speed test bypass enabled or disabled? How is it with Always and without HVPN though?
  21. What would be really helpful actually is if you could record your screen using https://jam.dev which should collect extra information for the team, if you share the link with us once done we can take a look
  22. Connection Benchmark does disconnect devices so that makes sense. I'd suggest following this guide https://support.netduma.com/en/support/solutions/articles/16000074717-how-to-test-your-internet-ping while downloading/streaming etc and start with a high value for Congestion Control (set to Always), say 95% then check, decrease by 10%, check, decrease by 10% etc, until you get to a value that is pretty good and then try 5% either side of that value to see if it can be improved. It's important to note that Download & Upload on Congestion Control don't have to be the same value and that you may have a better experience with differing values. This will be a more real world test.
  23. Have you accessed the router interface/used the app to complete the Setup Wizard? If not you will need to do that first before you can get internet.
