Xr1000 con qos no da la conexión
Netduma Fraser replied to Tocina71's topic in Community Discussion
Bandwidth Allocation doesn't mean the device will take all that speed - gaming also requires less than 1Mbps generally and giving it more won't make it use it. Could you provide a screenshot of your QoS page please? -
Great, as soon as I get the ID i'll pass it onto the team to get it added in the next cloud update
-
The devs will have to look into that, it's not a quick thing

Suddenly getting rx and tx packet loss?
Netduma Fraser replied to lockit14's topic in NETGEAR Nighthawk Support (XR range)
What is the server you're using to run the test exactly? How have you setup the QoS page? It's very unlikely it's faulty otherwise it would be consistently high constantly. Did you change anything physically or in settings just prior to when you saw the issue happen? -
That server should be whitelisted by default - have you denied it? If not could you provide the ID of the server please so we can add it to the global whitelist. You'll need to add it to the allow list for the moment until we do that.

You already have access: https://forum.netduma.com/forum/144-netduma-r2-early-access/

Suddenly getting rx and tx packet loss?
Netduma Fraser replied to lockit14's topic in NETGEAR Nighthawk Support (XR range)
Where are you getting the 1-5% packet loss from? The packet loss on that table is more than acceptable and wouldn't pose an issue at all for streaming -
If you want to use the DNS you set there then toggle off use upstream DNS
-
Messed up in what sense? No worries at all, it's always appreciated!
-
Settings that may work well on a previous version may need to be tweaked on later versions. The WiFi speeds could likely be improved by adjusting some WiFi settings but no worries. I'll take the info about SmartBOOST not detecting GTA to the team to resolve.

NEW R3 FIRMWARE - DumaOS 4.0.290
Netduma Fraser replied to Netduma Jack B's topic in Netduma R3 Support
As long as it is recovering itself within 5 minutes that's good and expected for that firmware, we know what that is and it is actually an indication that firmware is working. Stick with it and for the next one that won't happen. -
So far so good then! It shouldn't happen as much on that version as there was a fix for it in .290 but given .291 is just a quick build for the disconnect issue I can't be sure what it includes compared to .290, even though it's sequential doesn't mean it necessarily has what .290 has. You're in Early Access now so any new firmware posted there we'd be grateful for you to try it out and provide feedback!

I'll add it to the list, thanks for the suggestion

Suddenly getting rx and tx packet loss?
Netduma Fraser replied to lockit14's topic in NETGEAR Nighthawk Support (XR range)
The most likely scenario in this case is the ethernet cable used to connect the PC to the router or the router to the ONT isn't working correctly, if you swap these out for different cables do you get the same issue? -
Yes it will apply to a console, you'll need to copy the contents of the OVPN or Wireguard configuration file, enter it into the router and enter your VPN credentials, then make a rule for your device. If you're having trouble with the connecting part please provide the config files, otherwise a screenshot of the rules if you're having trouble applying it.

It's not necessary to factory reset after updates. You won't be able to ping every game server, that is normal, we will be implementing a new ping system in future which may help prevent that though

A company creates a product and then provides support, it's just standard practice. I will continue to help people if they ask for it and in this occasion, attempt to help people who don't ask for it or want it. I appreciate how you feel, you're frustrated and annoyed by it, now you've made a post essentially to vent your anger because I suggested we might help you and you feel that you've struggled this entire time, I get it. However, your 3 years of troubleshooting isn't the same as my 10 years experience living it day in day out, now you may have issues that are not fixable through troubleshooting and that's fine but you can't know for certain until you engage with us. I know I can't resolve everyone's issues, the very nature of software demands that there will be bugs. My job is two fold, attempt to resolve/answer any issues/questions and if I'm unable to, pass it on to a developer to have a look at for a potential workaround/fix to be implemented. It would have been very easy for me to have ignored your tweet, you obviously didn't want assistance and were just looking to vent as we all sometimes need to do but out of hours we actively engage with difficult issues so that people like you can have a better experience if at all possible. Could you provide a video of what you're seeing with the loading please? Preferably using https://jam.dev as that will provide us with extra information from the browser. Are you saying changing the upload speed then affects the download speed or changing the upload congestion control percentage then affects the download speed? Are you adding it with normal or gaming/voice? What about apply to WAN? If you're looking in settings at the names we know about that but it shouldn't happen in the Device Manager - are they all directly connected to the router or are you using switches, extenders, APs etc? So you just update the name and it doesn't change whatsoever? Are you using symbols in the names? The fact that not one device gets named correctly is not something I've ever seen before, hence a video would help. It may seem absolutely pointless to you but it would help me help you. If we could just focus on the troubleshooting I'd appreciate it, otherwise it just seems you want to vent without actually hoping to solve the issue. Either way we apologise that you feel this way and hope you may try it again in future perhaps when the beta arrives. Are you basing that on the content of a support forum? If so then you're only ever going to see issues and questions here which then provides a very one sided view of the overall picture. You've never made a post about any issues so if you make a new topic we can help you there.
