The stripped version isn't a beta - it's a security update for the 2.0 version, unfortunately named the same. Here is the latest beta which hasn't even really been officially released but it is the most stable in my opinion.

Sorry, forgot the link!

https://www.dropbox.com/s/4mwe5sx81gsc129/XR500-V2.3.2.114-DumaOS3.0.203.img?dl=0

Like is shown above, you guys were giving out unreleased firmware which I like to request, i did not ask if it the beta was publicly available.
If the other could be given out while being unreleased I would like the same for xr300

Or at least tell me why that is not possible and also give me a straight answer to these following questions.

Why can't you give me a beta build that supports vpn(while other user got unreleased firmware) and will it be possible within a month? becaues if not that really is no problem, I just need to know because that way I can buy the other XR! else I will wait a month for nothing!

Don't let me wait, just need some answers and not the ol razzle dazzle soonTM answer

While not officially released that firmware had been fully tested and was linked by the XR500 lead. We do not have a finished developed firmware to provide you with. Features that make it on to the router is up to Netgear. I couldn't give an estimate at the moment.

I've not heard of that issue at all, did you factory reset after upgrading? What happens when you try to make the circle bigger?

No i just updated via the update menu in the browser. So i need to refert to default settings first, reboot and than flash the new firmware again?

Well, i can make the circle bigger, but when i am on the map out side of the circle i cannot drag it down or move it at all, its centered while i could before. Its not a big issues but still its convenient to do so.

Ah I see, that means you're on DumaOS 2.0 instead of 3.0, was that intended? Not sure I follow, to move location click the home pin icon then click on the map and adjust the radius using the slider.

Hmm, no this was not intended, i was about to flash the newest 3.0 version.. I got this from a download link you provided. Maybe i didn't read correctly before flashing lol.

Meh, i keep it like this i think and flash again when new stable version is available, shouldn't be that much longer does it?

Here is the link to the .114 beta version: https://www.dropbox.com/s/4mwe5sx81gsc129/XR500-V2.3.2.114-DumaOS3.0.203.img?dl=0

Hard to say, we'll be releasing a new beta version soon so it depends how well that does as to when we would release it as a stable build.

Looking forward to the next perhaps stable build. Still, im pretty happy with the XR500 so far.

Some of the games on the Ping Heatmap have zero servers. I'm currently using the XR500. I'm using the V2 3.2.114 OS version. The Call of duty option on the geofilter is only using one call of duty it seems. All Call of Duty servers work accept Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 , in the U.S.

Thanks for the report, I've compiled a list of all the heatmap games that need to be updated and have passed it over to the team to update.

simple question is it coming this month yes or no answer only please.

xr300 beta doesn't matter if it works because I'm gonna throw the router away when I buy a new one, or blow it up and post a youtube link if anyone is interested.

It's not that simple, development is a long process and if it hits QA and bugs are found then they will be fixed which will ultimately push back when we can release it. We learnt a long time ago that it was better not to give dates.

ah ok thanks, I know that giving a date is impossible with all the testing that is needed that's why I wanted an unfinished version. But if it's so instable that I can't use it than I might as well buy an upgrade. It just sucks that in the netherlands you can't buy a netduma from a reputable store and I don't really want to support netgear since they bottleneck the cheaper versions through software.

We can ship the R2 to the Netherlands if you were interested in a Netduma router!

That would be great, from where do you ship and how long would that normally take? I'm worried that due to the pandemic it would get a lot of delays. Also in the netherlands you get screwed over a lot by vats even when already handled, they still try to get you to pay extra which is weird and borderline criminal.

We ship from England, it would normally take a couple of days however currently we are working through dispatching a lot of pre-orders so delivery times are delayed.

Unfortunately there is no other way if it's not taking the security answers. It won't take long to set it up again really

yes its working again though.

On another note, the connection benchmark is not accurate in the slightest, i get very low download speeds. Its only 388 and upload is 548 while i have an 1Gbps connection.

OK great.

What did you input your speeds as being during initial setup? You can double check by going to the three-dot menu in the top right and going to advanced -> network speeds.

If you're seeing that in Connection Benchmark, that's telling us what the R2 is getting from the modem. If it were a problem with the R2 then you would see 1gpbs in connection benchmark but lower speeds to connected devices. Are there other devices connected to the modem/router or does everything on the network go through the R2?

I only use the XR500 as modem/router. When i do speedtest via Ookla i get 950 up and down, only when i do the connection benchmark via the interface i get this low speeds.

That's interesting, are your bandwidth speeds entered correctly? You can check this by clicking the three-line menu in the top right of the interface -> Advanced -> Set bandwidth speeds.
