R2 loses all connection periodically, requires unplug
Netduma Fraser replied to The0dark0one's topic in Netduma R2 Support
Yes we can do that and have a look at what might be happening. Get it back to where you have access, enable remote support, ensure the R2 would get an open NAT and post back here while connected to the R2. -

Great, thanks for the heads up! I did ask the team and they're going to retest/classify the entire game to see if we can get it working better.

ANNOUNCEMENT: DUMAOS 3.0 IS HERE
Netduma Fraser replied to Netduma Luke's topic in News & Announcements
Every router has a version of 3.0 other than the XR300 so it's not like we haven't released it at all, yes some are in beta and we're working to bring those out as soon as we can -
Should be just a case of whitelisting a few servers really!
-
There have been a few cloud updates since then so perhaps something missing, I'll ask the team to see what's going on.

There weren't any DumaOS changes from Netduma, it was primarily an update from Netgear. Every firmware is tested by them, they have a strict QA policy. Naturally each team is best with their own software so they missed something we may not have but then again compared to owners of the router running the beta not many have reported the issue. -

We didn't have any input on this version so we didn't test it ourselves, otherwise we most likely would have caught this. We are working on new firmware currently. -

Do it for 10.0.0.x as that is what it is set to -

Use that IP instead, the reason it changed to that IP will have been to prevent a conflict with the ISP router which must use 192.168.1.1 -

You can find detailed instructions on how to upgrade using TFTP here: https://kb.netgear.com/000059634/How-to-upload-firmware-to-a-NETGEAR-router-using-Windows-TFTP?article=000059634 -

We didn't add any changes into that version ourselves so it could be a bug - when rebooting wait 2 minutes before you access the interface and that gives it time to properly load -
Adblocker unwanted block reporting thread
Netduma Fraser replied to Netduma Alex's topic in Netduma R2 Support
Thanks for the heads up @AsNCo as you say it's a bit of a tricky one given it blocks ads on sites, we'll keep an eye out to see if anyone else has this issue -
Okay that's very interesting. While connected direct to the Arris, please follow this test and let me know the result please https://winbuzzer.com/2020/05/29/windows-10-how-to-tell-if-your-isp-uses-carrier-grade-nat-cg-nat-xcxwbt/
-
Are you checking in console network settings or in game? What do they both say - is there a difference?
-
Enable IP Passthrough and you should get an Open NAT https://www.manualslib.com/manual/1399747/Arris-Nvg599.html?page=73#manual
-
Clear your browser cache/cookies and see if you can access the interface - if you came from an old version this should allow you to see it and access the setup wizard to complete and get internet. We're working on it and will get it out as soon as we can, don't have an ETA on that. Glad to hear you were able to resolve it, let us know if it happens again.

R2 loses all connection periodically, requires unplug
Netduma Fraser replied to The0dark0one's topic in Netduma R2 Support
Hey, welcome to the forum! If you could start a new topic that would be best yes. I've sent you a PM, if it still happens after that make a new topic please -
As long as the black service box has ethernet input then it should work like that as well
-
Please disable QoS from the Congestion Control menu and test using speedtest.net Are any devices other than the R1 connected to the router from the internet company?
-
What do you mean exactly? Disable it from that menu, even though you have one device connected it can still impact the speed. Do you have other devices connected direct to the modem then?
-
Okay so that is better which is good. On the R1 to get those speeds you'll need to disable QoS fully from the Congestion Control and you should get closer then
-
Welcome R2 owners! We want your feedback!
Netduma Fraser replied to Netduma Alex's topic in Netduma R2 Support
Yes absolutely it would be fine! -
The benchmark results are still under improvement, what do you get using speedtest.net?
