On the R2 System Information page, on the V hub it would be the IP shown for it in Devices or LAN Settings. Remove them and switch to DHCP. Keep DMZ off on the R2 itself
-
The Vodafone hub, exposed host is another name for DMZ so you can use that. That's fine, the R2 has a firewall so safe to do so, just never put your PC in the DMZ.
-
As mentioned using a VPN raises your ping, that is normal behaviour and why we don't usually suggest that you use a VPN while gaming.
-
It could be due to using PPPoE with the R2 but you did enter it correctly there. Have the hub handle PPPoE then connect the R2 to the hub and connect all devices to the R2. Put the WAN IP of the R2 into the hub DMZ and then it'll be like having directly connected it. You won't have any NAT issues and hopefully it will sort out the instability you're seeing. It's probably not possible but bridge makes it sound like an option
-
How long did you test with the hub connected again? If you're not experiencing it right away with the R2 then you should test with the hub for a good amount of time also. Are you noticing it happening randomly or more consistently during peak times for example? Are you using PPPoE on the R2 then? Is it a possibility to have the draytek handle PPPoE instead to test? Too early to tell the cause at the moment.

If the information you're inputting is correct then I think you'll need to contact your ISP - they may need to approve it (remove the mac address clone and reboot before doing this) as there isn't another reason I can think of that would be preventing you connecting
-
Copy the MAC address of your ISP router and set that in MAC address cloning on the R3, do the reboot and check again
-
Also once you've set those details reboot the router from the interface, wait 4 minutes then check if you get internet.
-
Okay now you've set your reserved IPs disable DHCP altogether - only devices with reserved IPs will be able to connect so set it for other devices if needed first. Then reboot the router from the interface, wait 4 minutes before accessing then monitor. If it happens again get the logs please before the reboot, that should remove any false flags from DHCP and make it easier to spot the issue.
-
Yes just physically connect them together and as above, depending on what you require you may need to enter those details into the router to get a connection. If not then simply connecting them will get you internet, if not reboot the R3 after the physical connection has been made and it should connect normally.

You're only measuring your jitter to that specific website so it doesn't necessarily mean that's what you would experience when gaming. Thanks for the IDs, they are actually Italian servers so just misplaced on the map, we can correct those.
-
Thanks, could you remove your SmartBOOST priorities please and see if it continues? Other than what you've mentioned so far, what settings have you changed from their defaults?
-
What timestamp did it happen around? In Settings > DHCP > Add Rules > Select Device > Save. Do that each wired device you're noticing the disconnects/issues with. Then reboot the router from the interface, wait 4 minutes and see if it happens again please.
-
I'll chase them, thanks for letting me know it's still happening

I've given you Early Access where we've recently released a fairly large bug fix/QOL update that may help. https://forum.netduma.com/topic/60946-new-r3-firmware-dumaos-401147/ Upgrade to that and then if you still get the issue please get the logs when the issue next happens, before rebooting and we can take a look.

You shouldn't need to specifically port forward but if you look up the specific games you're playing you can find their specific ports to add
-
You can't individually filter a cluster of servers within one location per se but you could add the 17ms ping server to your deny list so you don't play on it again. Do be warned though that denying lots of servers will leave you with very few options for servers to play on and may increase search times/prevent you getting a game altogether.
-
Are you just focusing on the jitter result on the bufferbloat test or are you actually experiencing that in game also?

Netduma R3 Feels Underwhelming – What Am I Doing Wrong?
Netduma Fraser replied to RiSK's topic in Netduma R3 Support
So the fiber router connected to the R3? For the Geo-Filter you're covering a huge area so you could be getting servers that are a way higher ping, reduce it so you're covering just the closest server to you. Just on SmartBOOST, add Gaming as the activity, then switch to device on SmartBOOST and select your device. -
Battlefield 6 Servers Not Being Filtered

It should be easier to filter BF6 on the new R3 Early Access firmware now -
Netduma R3 Feels Underwhelming – What Am I Doing Wrong?
Netduma Fraser replied to RiSK's topic in Netduma R3 Support
Just to clarify, you said your modem is in bridge mode and the R3 is in its DMZ - it can only be one or the other, which one are you using? By the only device being connected to the R3 is the PC do you mean you have no other devices in your home using internet or that they are connected to a different router? If the latter could you explain how they fit into the network please. How have you enabled the Geo-Filter exactly? Currently you're not using Congestion Control with it set to 100 so that won't be helping. Try with 70% and experiment from there to find what percentages work best for you. You've reserved bandwidth for certain games (gaming barely uses any bandwidth so 40Mbps is overkill and won't get anywhere close to needing that much so you could remove this) but then you haven't prioritized those games. Prioritize Gaming overall so it covers all the games you want to play. Also prioritize the device as well as a backup. Is the PC the risk device? In which case you should absolutely remove the DMZ rule and the port forwarding rules as it's a major security issue for PCs. If it was a console however the port forwarding rules would be unnecessary because its in the DMZ already. -
The only way that makes sense is that the routing from you to the game servers is poor, in which case no router could resolve that, it'd be something you'd need to go to the ISP with but they would be unlikely to help
-
You'll need to give us the ID of that server then we can correct its location in the cloud. Until then you can add it to your denied list to prevent connecting to it. You should never put your PC in the DMZ, it's a major security issue, I would strongly suggest you remove that. It could also be impacting your results but also with your configuration the router can't properly control devices individually to prevent issues.
