Thanks for that, can you switch the ethernet cable connecting the R2 to the modem with a different cable and then re-test please?
-
Could you provide a full screenshot of the PingPlotter screen showing the bottom graph please?

I have to restart my router every few games

As long as you followed the process above you will end up in a server within your radius even if it tries to force one elsewhere, it may just take a little longer -
No that is controlled by the service, e.g. Netflix, you would just need to find a VPN that hasn't been blocked by the affected services.
-
-
They can support it but they can't prevent services blocking their known VPN IP addresses, some providers offer a free trial in which case you could try it to see if that is the problem with no monetary obligation.

For CoD it's a server based game so the peers are very likely servers that are misclassified, in which case there won't be much difference. It could be they're appearing as peers because they're new servers which could explain why they perform better. -
If it's a pure modem then it isn't doing any routing and so it would be a bit lower than when using a router. How are you testing the ping exactly? It can also be affected by your connection method, QoS settings and what other devices are doing at the time.
-
The reason it takes a little longer to block a peer is to prevent people using the router to boot people from a game so it's actually an anti-cheat feature in affect. So as you've mentioned because they're all now misclassified you're succumbing to this anti-cheat measure so as Liam mentioned we will get that sorted and you'll be able to block again more easily. For a peer to be fully blocked the connection to that peer needs to be disconnected for 2 minutes at least, so do as you were doing, quit the game, wait 2 minutes and it will be fully blocked. As for it then taking longer to get games that will be because you're filtering with the radius and then further restricting it with blocking servers in that radius so search times will increase as the amount of available servers decreases, if it's a particular busy time as well then those servers may be full.

Have you tried another provider just in case the services you want block the VPN you're currently using?
-
I'm sure there is something to it as it would free up cached RAM for example, we know it's something people want so we are looking into implementing it

Are you forcing a game in your area/region? Are you playing solo or with a group? -

Welcome to the forum! Try this: Quit the application/game/client completely Remove device from the Geo-Filter Give PC PlayStation Device Type in the Device Manager (if on PC) Resync from the Geo-Filter Map menu Re-add the device to the Geo-Filter with the manual option Set up the Geo-Filter how you like Wait 2 minutes Boot up application/game/client Then see if it works more consistently. -

- For the Geo-Filter it looks like you're getting a 16ms game there, that is great! You could remove the device from the Geo-Filter, then in the Device Manager give the PC a PlayStation device type, then re-add it to the Geo-Filter and select the manual option. Other than that it's good. Bandwidth Allocation = Good! Traffic Prioritization = Good! You have changed your Bandwidth speeds to be a lot lower than you receive, it is best to change them back to what you get as we did before. Your Ping Test Under Load graph is still unstable. Set your speeds and experiment with the percentages. We are getting there!

It can still do that, any VPN provider that supports OpenVPN and provides you with the configuration files should work just fine

How to identify which Warzone server I am on?
Netduma Fraser replied to Blaze's topic in NETGEAR Nighthawk Support (XR range)
That would be the Geo-Filter tab, all the Ping Heatmap page does it ping known game servers so you can see your ping to them and then use that to inform your Geo-Filter settings. You don't appear on the Geo-Filter so it will either be an authentication server or a peer connected to your server. -

Hey, welcome to the forum! It will always be the biggest icon on the map, you'll also see the Auto Ping panel appear on the bottom right of the screen (may have to scroll down depending on your screen size) and that will give you more information like the ping. -
- What was done/changed before the errors appeared? It looks like you've done the opposite of the changes I have recommended. I'll try to be more clear: Geo-Filter - 0 Ping Assist QoS - Congestion Control - Change percentages, Connection Benchmark test, change percentages, Connection Benchmark test etc until you find the values that make the Ping Under Load graph look like the Ping Test graph QoS - Bandwidth Allocation (where you have now set Gaming to 96%) - Click the reset distribution button, then the apply distribution button. Don't change percentages here. For the errors reboot the router, wait 2 minutes and then access.

With just the power and your PC connected to it (so VM removed from it) and removing the static IP, open command prompt, type ipconfig press enter and then post a screenshot of the results here please.
