  1. Glad to hear you're enjoying it. You definitely should be able to set up via ethernet, what happened exactly when you had your PC connected via ethernet to the LAN ports? We'll have to look at that, might be just to do with your connection. You can set up scheduled pings so that you can view how the ping changes over time.
  2. We're getting a new build out soon that should fix a lot of the bugs with the current build and also flesh out the features more so it will likely depend on that.   5. As per my previous posts, Netgear control when/who invites are sent to. We can try to boost people up the list but it is still down to Netgear. Invites are being sent out still so you will get it. If you haven't requested it yet then let me know your Netgear username and we can try to speed it up for you.

  7. It is Netgear hardware so they decide regarding the beta invites. We've put forward our Insiders for priority. If you haven't received the R1 beta yet then let us know.
  8. 3.0 is optimized for the R2 but we still need to transfer that over to the other routers that have different architecture etc so makes it more complex.
  9. All we can do is try to boost you up the list, it is then up to Netgear to decide when to send an invite. I will double check and make sure we put your names forward.   10. Sorry for the delay, Alex has been very busy but I'll see if he has time to do it this week - as it's the launch of the R2 this week it may be a bit difficult.
  11. @DaK As far as I can tell you haven't sought any support regarding your issues so that means we haven't had the opportunity to help you with them. I've given you a firmware which should resolve the issues from our side. The other issues are for Netgear and should be helped with the next firmware. Coming right out with threats is unnecessary. Not only will the next firmware come with fixes but it will include lots of new features, so the product you bought will be evolving without any further cost to yourself.
  12. Will try to get you both bumped up the list. Yes, that's not to say there won't be bugs because I'm sure there will be - no software is bug free but every update it gets more stable. Do you want it for both R1 and XR500? What is your Netgear username so I can try to bump you up that list.

  14. What is your NG community name? We'll try and push you up the list for both. That is completely up to you, it's certainly possible with our boosts that you will get it before the R2 launches. I suppose it depends on whether you want to use 3.0 when it's optimized on the R2 or on the other routers.
  15. What is your Netgear forum username? We'll try and boost you up the list for 3.0 and hopefully that will prevent this again in the future.
  16. It is anything but simple. The beta is out and people are using it, you're just waiting for an invite at this point but that's down to Netgear. If you give us your Netgear community name we'll try and bump you up the list.
  17. Was this after changing a particular setting or was it just like that when you next went to access it? Are you on the .56 firmware? A reboot should resolve it, let us know if it doesn't.
  18. It might change prior to release but as I'm currently aware It will have most preinstalled and then if you wish you can then uninstall/(re)install what you like.

Firstly I'd recommend upgrading to this firmware and then doing a factory reset as that should help with some of your issues: https://kb.netgear.com/000061714/XR700-Firmware-Version-1-0-1-24-Hot-Fix I highly doubt it will be available for the XR700 within a week, it is also unlikely to fix all the issues you're facing - wasn't even aware of the WiFi issue you're having for example. Some of those will be for Netgear so it also depends when they will be implementing fixes.
