Are you having this specifically with the latest firmware or did you have it with the previous one too?

Unplug the router from power for 10 minutes, plug in, then wait 4 minutes then hold the reset button for 30 seconds, then wait 4 minutes before accessing the interface. If you can also provide the answers to the other questions as well that would be really helpful

Yes you can do that, put the R3 in the main router DMZ instead, this will allow you to get an Open NAT through the R3 while you can still have other devices connected to the main router

What is the model of the modem/router the R3 is connected to and how have you set that to ensure all traffic flows to the R3? E.g R3 in its DMZ, modem/bridge mode What firmware version are you on? Is it all devices or specific? Ethernet or WiFi? Any patterns as to when it happens? Does it reconnect itself or do you need to reboot? How long do you wait before rebooting if that is required? Could you provide the logs when it happens please?

Steady Ping servers not matching game, need help understanding
Netduma Fraser replied to V1k1's topic in Netduma R3 Support
In your situation simple would be enough to counter the spikes, you wouldn't need to use expert specifically. It should make your ping the value you set, not add on top, seems to be doing a bit of both which is odd. Could well be just Valorant that happens for, do you notice Steady Ping working in that way still on other games? -
NEW R3 FIRMWARE - DumaOS 4.0.540
Netduma Fraser replied to Netduma Alex's topic in Netduma R3 Support
Download the previous firmware version from the forum then upload in Settings > Troubleshooting Ahh good to hear, well done for figuring it out. Everything for the most part should apply right away, what settings specifically don't appear to work that way? -

Presumably you've also experimented with the channels? If so have you specifically used a WiFi analyzer to find the least congested ones? One thing that would make a big difference is adjusting the widths, have you tried that? Also ensure, it's in an elevated position as much as possible, ideally not on a metal surface and that there are no electrical / wireless devices e.g headphones etc within close proximity ~3 feet if possible.

question about the xr1000
Netduma Fraser replied to mocha's topic in NETGEAR Nighthawk Support (XR range)
@L2W Liam was tech support like me, he didn't have any control over what happens anymore than I do. I appreciate you're agitated and frustrated, I am too, of course I want to be all up to date with no issues, it'd make my job a lot easier. Unfortunately not everything works out that way, you have your opinion on how it is working or should work and I can understand why you would think that way but it really isn't as simple as you've made out at all. For a start, just because DumaOS 3.3 works well on the XR500 doesn't mean it can simply be put on the XR1000 without a problem, they're completely different architecture. It's like trying to put Android on your iPhone, they're both phones, both mobile operating systems and so it should work and probably could work but not without a lot of effort. As I mentioned, we're a partial software partner, it's not even running 100% our software and because of that we don't have total control, as we don't have total control issues/delays etc are not all of our own making. We get all the heat and that's fine, we're the most front facing, directly interacting with customers and the seller is our software, as with everything it is more nuianced than you've made out. For example the security update/the one NG are auto upgrading to features a DumaOS version we finalized quite some time ago. -
It could be the power supply is working but faulty and not providing enough voltage to the router to keep it powered on. Let us know how you get on!

NETDuma's bandwidth reservation is like the new cheat code

On the SmartBOOST page click the 3 dots top right Click Favourites (Primary Profile) - It may not be named Favourites if you've made a different profile and make it primary Click the icon top right of that panel Success -
After looking into it personally a bit more I would say it's highly likely to be a cloud update. As far as I can tell NG have auto updated people (we originally completed the DumaOS changes for that a very long time ago) but didn't mention they were doing it and so I think it's trying to use a cloud update it can't use or isn't using the one it should now be using. I've given my findings to the team so it should hopefully be a quick update once they identify the specific cause.

Does it still happen if you try a different web browser?

Good during the day because not as many people are home during the day - school/work etc, then everyone gets home and uses the internet during the evening. It can happen with any over prescribed internet service in your area. There isn't a reason on the router why that would happen i.e. good during the day then worse during peak times then better again later on

Do you have it connected to a power extender or direct to an outlet? If an extender please try direct to an outlet. Otherwise do you have another power adapter you could try with?

Use http://192.168.77.1 not https://192.168.77.1 Also to be safe go to chrome://settings/content/insecureContent in Chrome and add http://192.168.77.1 as a site

If you're using a bookmark or using the URL it suggests when you start typing the address in then it may be that you're loading up the tour each time. Alternatively if you clear your cache/cookies frequently/have them clear when you close a tab that would do it also

NEW R3 FIRMWARE - DumaOS 4.0.540
Netduma Fraser replied to Netduma Alex's topic in Netduma R3 Support
In both disconnect cases it appears to be DHCP, if you change the lease to 10000 and reboot later in the day/very early morning then it shouldn't happen again when you would notice it. Does the higher ping occur if you have the Geo-Filter toggled off for filtering but where you can still see the ping? Does the in game ping reflect the same?
