  1. Correct you won't get symmetric 1000Mbps out of the R2
  2. It'll be a server, just misclassified as a peer icon on the map!
  3. That's an authentication server required for online play, the white circle around it means it's been allowed - either by you adding it to the allow list or because we have whitelisted it. The icon in your radius is the game server so it appears to be working correctly.
  4. That's likely to be the authentication server with the icon inside your radius being the game server
  5. I'm not sure, it depends which router the NAS is connected to, if it's connected to the main router you should be able to access it through either, if you have it connected to the R2 then you'll likely only be able to access it through devices connected to the R2. If you want just games within the radius then yes you must set Ping Assist to 0
  6. Yes but it can get servers outside your radius if the ping is below the value/slightly higher, it's not a ping limit
  7. You shouldn't get anything outside the radius if ping assist is at 0, strict mode is enabled and the Geo-Filter was enabled before launching the game
  8. We were testing it so I'll see where we are at with it but you shouldn't get anything outside the radius if ping assist is at 0, strict mode is enabled and the Geo-Filter was enabled before launching the game

  10. No worries, sorry there isn't more we can do, it's just out of the scope of what a router is capable of.
  11. No we can't impact the routing in that regard unfortunately. The only way I can think of currently that might help other than using a VPN as you mentioned is to obtain a static IP from the ISP (they may charge for this), if we assume that this is a premium service they provide then it is likely that they will give you an IP that is correctly located in your country and then you may get better routing to servers within your country. Might be worth exploring it and asking what IP you would get (they might not be able to tell you right away) and then you could check its location before proceeding.
  12. That could work, if you select the closest possible server to you then in theory it would have less distance to route you through and therefore may actually improve your ping
  13. This makes more sense, IPs are sold all the time to different countries, for example, an IP that was previously Australian could be sold and now used in the UK. However, the databases which hold the locations of the IPs are not always up to date. So what I suspect is happening is that you're getting IPs that were previously used in another country but haven't been updated, hence they route you through the old location and thus it increases your ping. Your current ping for example shows Latvia as the location. So when you change your IP use a site to check the location of it, if it's not close enough change it again etc and once you've got a good one don't change it or reboot etc.
  14. You can do that but changing your IP may not necessarily change your routing. Thanks for that, the server is definitely in Sweden so nothing on the Geo-Filter side causing a high ping or anything, unfortunately ISP routing is outside our abilities so it's just something you'll need to try and talk to them about more
  15. Yes we are closer, we're waiting on some testing at the moment, should that go well its full steam ahead
  16. Hello, welcome to the forum! Two points to note first: You can't directly trace/ping most game servers, that's why yours is timing out We can't change the route your packets take to servers that's completely down to the ISP Can you provide a screenshot of your Geo-Filter page please?
  17. Ah that's good to hear, thank you for the update!
  18. You are on beta firmware and thus issues are expected, please also post issues you're having on beta firmware in the beta section so the devs can take a proper look if needed. Go to the System Information page and then in the Rapp panel menu ≡ change the retries to 5, reboot from the interface, wait 2 minutes before accessing and see if it works then please.
  19. Thanks for the heads up, we did manage to get access so we'll be testing it out
  20. Added, you can find it here: https://forum.netduma.com/forum/144-netduma-r2-early-access/
  21. Solo para aclarar, la identificación que nos ha dado es un servidor que debería estar en Chile pero se muestra en Brasil.
