Your ISP would have told you usually if you're able to use it. The ISP modem/router may detail it. Most likely due to the Easter holidays - more people playing the game (especially because of the update) so there is more load on the game servers. More people online/at home also means more ISP congestion and so with those two combined this could account for increased ping and decreased game performance. It's unlikely given you've not changed anything why pings would suddenly rise.

Definitely looks like DHCP in your case: Give devices a reserved/static IP on the router Extend the DHCP lease time See if that helps after a reboot

Does your internet provider give you an IPv6 address? If not then you can keep it disabled.

No worries, let us know your questions and we'll be happy to help. There is also support.netduma.com you can look at as well as the help options on the router interface in some feature settings.

Added - let us know how you get on, I would suggest a factory reset after the upgrade has fully completed (wait at least 5 mins after upgrading and verify you can access the new interface first). If it still occurs start a new topic and we can help.

ping heatmap e football
Netduma Fraser replied to bycango's topic in NETGEAR Nighthawk Support (XR range)
Your router auto-upgraded, you'll need to re-upgrade to the beta and then it will appear on the Geo-Filter: https://forum.netduma.com/topic/51611-new-xr500-beta-firmware-33535/ Alternatively follow these steps and it will work despite not being specifically selected: Quit the application/game/client completely Remove device from the Geo-Filter Give PC PlayStation Device Type in the Device Manager Resync from the Geo-Filter Map menu Re-add the device to the Geo-Filter Set up the Geo-Filter how you like Wait 2 minutes Boot up application/game/client -
If you prioritize the device running the program then all traffic from that device will be prioritized

Le Geofilter ne marche pas : Quid de Hybrid VPN ?
Netduma Fraser replied to BiTTrigger's topic in Netduma R3 Support
The screenshot above doesn't show anything I asked for unfortunately. Changing the Device Type in this situation will allow you to filter correctly. -
You would need to contact them to ask them for what username/password it is, from recollection you can use the number 1 as username and password. The destination is chosen by the file you download. HybridVPN on the router is a VPN client - a way to connect to VPN services. With it you can VPN certain devices and not others, VPN certain services and not others etc.

Okay thank you, what firmware version are you on currently? (You can see this as a number on the top right of the interface) Have you made any port forwarding rules/DMZ/static routes/disabled UPnP on the R3? What is the platform you're playing on and if it's a console are you receiving an open NAT?

Steady Ping and Smartboost not working for Marvel Rivals
Netduma Fraser replied to DaBoy98's topic in Netduma R3 Support
It's most likely the cloud that we need to update - it may also be the router hasn't downloaded the latest cloud yet so just in case resync the cloud on SmartBOOST & Geo-Filter and check again. Steady Ping won't always be able to stabilize the ping, if that happens it won't have any affect on the ping but all the other features will still work the same to help your ping. -
Geofilter playstation 5 - Call of duty Warzone
Netduma Fraser replied to New Netduma's topic in Netduma R3 Support
Disable Geo-Latency and Ping Assist if you've enabled it in the Geo-Filter settings. You also need to enable the Geo-Filter before you boot up the console/game otherwise it won't work correctly. If you're changing Geo-Filter settings while on the game you will need to restart the game for them to take affect. -
Higher Ping in B06 and Warzone since Verdansk update
Netduma Fraser replied to Copacabanah's topic in Netduma R3 Support
I am quite confident this will be due to the Easter holidays - more people playing the game (especially because of the update) so there is more load on the game servers. More people online/at home also means more ISP congestion and so with those two combined this could account for increased ping and decreased game performance. It's unlikely given you've not changed anything why pings would suddenly rise. -
ping heatmap e football
Netduma Fraser replied to bycango's topic in NETGEAR Nighthawk Support (XR range)
You can still see the ping on the Geo-Filter when you're in a game -
You would only need to have the VPN connected on the router or your PC, not both.

Le Geofilter ne marche pas : Quid de Hybrid VPN ?
Netduma Fraser replied to BiTTrigger's topic in Netduma R3 Support
I know it's a PC not a console - have you followed the steps to change the device type to a PlayStation? Can you provide a screenshot of the Geo-Filter page showing the device added and another screenshot of the Geo-Filter settings menu please? -
No need to create multiple topics, I've deleted the others, lets just use this one. It is expected using the VPN through the router that speeds will be reduced - gaming does not need a lot of bandwidth so what you have will be plenty for playing. Double NAT is also expected when using a VPN.

Steady Ping and Smartboost not working for Marvel Rivals
Netduma Fraser replied to DaBoy98's topic in Netduma R3 Support
Sounds like we need to update the Marvel Rivals service but SmartBOOST is still detecting gaming so it will prioritize. Do this: Quit the application/game/client completely Remove device from the Geo-Filter Give PC PlayStation Device Type in the Device Manager Resync from the Geo-Filter Map menu Re-add the device to the Geo-Filter Set up the Geo-Filter how you like Wait 2 minutes Boot up application/game/client You should then see the servers on the map then. -
No sure what you mean but WAN should work just fine

Issues with Netduma R2 since April 2025
Netduma Fraser replied to adro's topic in Netduma R2 Support
Out of the 1000's of people that have the router a couple of people receiving the same log entry is common. As mentioned the team knew about a DPI issue and it was fixed on DumaOS 4. -
