  1. What do you mean unstable & laggy exactly? You would need to put the R3 in the DMZ of the ISP router to ensure all traffic flows through smoothly. Does it generally provide you with a lower ping after a reboot?
  2. Add Gaming as an activity and also add the gaming device itself as well. If it continues it may be worth having your ISP router handle PPPoE instead to see if it works better with the R3 using DHCP
  3. So earlier today lower ping then completely out of nowhere the ping just rises and stays there with no settings changes, physical changes or any other outside influence? If so that really doesn't make any sense, can you provide a screenshot of your Congestion Control Settings & SmartBOOST? What changes have you made to the router from its defaults?
  4. Hold the Factory Reset button for 30 seconds then release, wait 4 minutes, then try accessing please and see if you can go through the setup wizard.
  5. You have 1 device using a dedicated internet connection. Smart Queue Management does just that, it manages network queues, with just one device being used there is no network queue, there is just 1 'lane' and the gaming device is in it, nothing for it to get stuck behind. Its very unlikely that would eliminate those feelings in BO6, it's more likely your distance/routing to the game server.
  6. If its the PPPoE issue then you're only the second person to report it so not a widespread issue but it is being looked into. The internet dropping when you turn your PC off makes no networking sense whatsoever so I can't even begin to determine why that might be happening at the moment. The R3 WAN IP into the DMZ correct?
  7. I mean now that it's happening though can you determine any patterns e.g. peak/non peak, a specific device on the internet etc
  8. When the ping gets worse are there more people on your network, is it during peak/non peak times, are you still connected to the same game server? etc
  9. Try it with a PC web browser instead to adjust it. How have you determined that the ping should be 38-40?
  10. Have you been adding servers to your deny list recently? I'd suggest deleting your polygons and making one big one so its not overlapping several times and also test with the radius instead
  11. What web browser/device are you using to access/change settings on the interface? Are you using the Geo-Filter? The logs won't show lag or anything like that
  12. Okay that would explain that ping then, I still don't believe you need it for SQM but yes it does have the same implementation as the R3 currently although in Early Access though you can try pre DumaOS 4 but you won't get many more updates for that router.
  13. It's unlikely to have bricked it, give it a reboot, wait 4 minutes then attempt access, if you still can't then while connected to the router via a wired Windows PC, open command prompt, type ipconfig press enter and then post a screenshot of the results here please.
  14. Most likely yes but if you select the R3 then it has its own firewall so is safe to do so
  15. Normal if it's connected via ethernet, Gaming/Voice if it's connected via WiFi. Try with Apply to WAN enabled, it really depends if your ISP supports priority tagging but shouldn't negatively affect you if they don't
  16. Yeah I've not seen that before so I would say it's most likely faulty
  17. I mentioned several times I believed it was a hardware failure and I explained that what you just mentioned doesn't prove it isn't a hardware issue for example ("The lights should cycle when doing the reset, that's why it sounds more like hardware as the point of the hardware reset button is to bypass the software to perform a reset."), you don't agree with my assessment and that is fine but it doesn't mean I can make it a different issue that is able to be fixed. The dev I was waiting for wanted a second opinion which I chased today for you, they didn't find anything in the logs to suggest there was anything wrong with the software based on what is logged there and so given the issues you're having they could only concur that it is likely hardware.
  18. You'd put the R3 in the DMZ on the other router - that would eliminate the double NAT You'd have all devices connect to the R3 which would improve the connection You only need the 1 port to be used to connect the R3 to it I've given you Early Access for you to try before doing that option to see if it gets better https://forum.netduma.com/forum/151-netduma-r3-early-access/
  19. Are you able to have another router handle PPPoE instead of the R3 and see if that resolves it?
  20. Do you need/is the R3 handling PPPoE? What are the speeds you pay for/receive? Where are you testing the speeds? Presumably you're testing over ethernet?
  21. Looks like your public IP might be changing but you shouldn't need to reboot to restore it, how long have you waited before rebooting? Reboot the router just before you go to sleep tonight and see if 2 mornings from now you wake up without internet
  22. There are a couple of scenarios here: You've not factory reset the router correctly which is why the credentials are showing that they're incorrect - it's the button that you'll need a thin object like a pin to press, hold for 30 seconds, release, wait 4 minutes then attempt access via the mobile app only. The WiFi turning off when you try to access via a web browser indicates either the power it's getting isn't enough - try direct to an outlet if using an extender or try with another adapter if possible. Otherwise you may need to upgrade/downgrade the firmware but you'll need to do #1 for that. The unit is faulty and you should return it to the person you purchased from
  23. You're using it with 1 device only? Exitlag may improve the routing to the game servers if your routing is less than optimal. That's a fairly high ping, where abouts are you located?
  24. If that's with just the one device on the network then it's peak time congestion, nothing to be done on your side. What ping do you get to the game on average?
  25. This blog may help: https://netduma.com/blog/how-to-fix-bufferbloat so our current implementation, Congestion Control & SmartBOOST is literally a form of SQM. The ACC referenced there is what I mentioned we're also working on that goes beyond this. As before, the fact you have a whole connection I assume purely dedicated to gaming even further reduces your need for QoS/SQM as that's only working on your side of the router to reduce bufferbloat/lag etc but with literally an entire connection just for gaming it really isn't needed. So if that is correct then the R3 would be the one to get with the idea that ACC will be more useful for you in the future.
