Help with Vodaphone Fibre 2 Broadband
Netduma Fraser replied to Dylan Hickey's topic in Netduma R2 Support
If it's been reset then you need to access the interface to complete the Setup Wizard before you get internet so don't worry about the no internet message. Just connect via ethernet for now to complete it -
Bufferbloat and in game stutter with R3
Netduma Fraser replied to Aylinka's topic in Netduma R3 Support
Bufferbloat occurs when your connection is saturated i.e. all used up, that's what causes lag. That's all the test is checking. SmartBOOST is actively prioritizing your gaming, media etc so it's going against what the test is checking for, that's why we suggest disabling it for the test but you should then re-enable it after for the best experience. -
Port Forward Confusion/ possibly not working? - Palworld

Do you have another router you can swap the R3 with to check if it works using that one? -
Experiencing the same issue I have on the R2, with the R3.
Netduma Fraser replied to Saberous's topic in Netduma R3 Support
As I mentioned, thank you for the feedback, it's always good to receive criticism. I do wish you would have posted once asking for support as I'm sure we could have resolved a few of your issues. The R3 has sold much better than the R2 did in the same time frame so of course there will be more people posting, it is a support forum after all, you will only see issues here and as with the R2 and the XR range, the people posting represent a small percentage of the customer base. -
Internet Speed halfed... 1000mbps to 500mbps
Netduma Fraser replied to 1_EYE_WIDGEYWOO's topic in Netduma R3 Support
Okay that's really promising news! We will be doing more work on WiFi but in the meantime see if these suggestions help: Use a WiFi analyzer to find the least congested channel and change to that Experiment with the widths to see what gives better results Ensure it's in an elevated position - not on a metal surface Ensure there aren't any electrical / wireless devices e.g headphones etc within close proximity ~3 feet if possible Set the antennae to this position _ | | _ -
What's the error specifically you're getting? If it's the one I'm thinking of then disabling IPv6 in LAN/WAN and or disabling SmartBOOST should help to prevent it. We are looking into it.

We're having trouble reproducing the issue which of course makes it hard to fix but we're working on it.

Help with Vodaphone Fibre 2 Broadband
Netduma Fraser replied to Dylan Hickey's topic in Netduma R2 Support
There should have been a guide included but connect an ethernet cable from the WAN/Internet port on the R2 to a LAN port on the Vodafone router. Connect to the R2 via WiFi or ethernet and go to http://192.168.77.1 to access the setup wizard/interface. -
Were you seeing the 41-45ms ping in game or on the Geo-Filter and was there a difference between the pings?
-
As far as I am aware it's still on track for this week
-
Thanks for the suggestion, I'll add it to the list. Doing the above would definitely help with this.
-
The cable is important, if the phone line cable is not an ethernet cable then you will not get internet through it with the R3. Make sure you're using the correct cable and it should then work. Depending on setups some people may be able to connect the R3 directly to an ONT/wall in which case it would be needed or they can replace the existing router and connect the R3 direct to the modem and then use PPPoE. I suspect it's the cable issue you mentioned.

Exactly as above!

Great thank you, I'll pass that onto the team to have a look at

Did you grab the logs?
