  1. Have you tried keeping download the same and just adjusting upload? They don't have to be the same percentages and in fact you may get better results with different values for each.
  2. It'll be depending on the time of day/population of those different games/playlists at that time as well as what servers you are restricting the search to
  3. I've given you access, you can find it here: https://forum.netduma.com/forum/144-netduma-r2-early-access/
  4. Where are you testing the speeds specifically, Connection Benchmark or speedtest.net for example? Are ALL devices connected to the XR?
  5. Sign up for Early Access here: https://forum.netduma.com/topic/39415-introducing-early-access/ let's get you on that firmware and see whether it fixes it
  6. Connection Benchmark uses different servers so they can show lower results but it doesn't mean it's limiting you as you've seen, otherwise speedtest.net would be similarly low. What results do you get on the waveform test? https://www.waveform.com/tools/bufferbloat
  7. I'd say it's probably not the CPU issue though it could be contributing to it, how have you setup your Congestion Control specifically? I've reported every bug/potential issue that has been mentioned. I don't have a specific list of issues that are being actively worked on, there are a lot of devs all working on different things. This weeks update will be a decent sized one with fixes and improvements so should be much better.
  8. I realize this might be a hard one to check but if possible, have the network activity up while you play and if you experience the issue, check to see if you get a big spike or drop in usage briefly and try to identify if there is one what device it came from
  9. It's probably the same issue yes, I'm not sure which firmware a fix will come in but there is an update due this week which has fixes and improvements in. If it's not this update I suspect it'll be the next.
  10. I believe it is the CPU issue you're experiencing, the firmware is due this week and not only will the CPU usage be drastically reduced, the higher ping/jitter caused by it should be resolved as well. As lot of fixes/improvements in this one I believe.
  11. Good advice regarding the videos, that is most likely it. Reason being the ads are served on the same domain as the video itself so if one is blocked the other will be as well. You could just disable it for his device to see how he gets on. If not what speeds are you getting via WiFi? We're looking into UPnP, port forwarding will work instead for the moment. So with steady ping off the Geo ping and in game ping ready exactly the same? New firmware is due this week and will have a lot of fixes/improvements so I expect people will be happy once that's dropped.
  12. If you check Network Activity is anything showing there when you're seeing this high usage?
  13. What firmware version are you on currently? Have you tried a factory reset to see if that helps at all?
  14. The team are looking into it at the moment, I'm not sure if a fix will be in the firmware this week or next yet
  15. If you have another device you can connect via ethernet I would suggest trying that way, otherwise I hate to say it but you may have bought a faulty one
  16. Okay great and presumably in the Device Manager table view it shows the ports not working as disconnected even with a device connected to it?
  17. You should be able to connect to the WiFi without connecting to the internet. The default WiFi password will be the serial number on the sticker on the underside of the router
  18. Okay so you get internet still? When you're connected via ethernet can you access the interface? If not, can you access when using WiFi?
  19. Networking is complex, there is no one setting that will work for every person/connection/setup/country etc so it is best to experiment and fine tune a little to get the best experience. This guide will help with PingPlotter: https://support.netduma.com/en/support/solutions/articles/16000074717-how-to-test-your-internet-ping You can find CPU in Settings > Troubleshooting > Advanced
  20. 70% is a good starting point but it won't necessarily work best for everyone. It's best to start with a high value for Congestion Control, say 95% then do a test, decrease by 10%, test, decrease by 10% etc, until you get to a value that is pretty good and then try 5% either side of that value to see if it can be improved. It's important to note that Download & Upload on Congestion Control don't have to be the same value and that you may have a better experience with differing values.
  21. That's really strange, I think the only option left is to attempt to upgrade the firmware via TFTP which uploads the firmware before the boot process and therefore bypasses any issues there. Then once done do a factory reset for the freshest install possible: https://kb.netgear.com/000059634/How-do-I-upload-firmware-to-my-NETGEAR-router-using-TFTP-from-the-Microsoft-Windows-Command-Prompt?article=000059634
  22. Okay great and is that JSON error there or gone now as well?
  23. Can I get your QoS and Geo-Filter screenshots also please?
  24. Just to clarify, is it the WAN port as well that isn't working? If you connect via WiFi do you get internet? When you're connected via ethernet can you access the interface? If not, can you access when using WiFi?
  25. Not tonight no, everyone will have gone home but if you make yourself accessible, post back here from a device connected to the R2 I'll get someone to try tomorrow
