Restarting R3 everyday to get to the settings.
Netduma Fraser replied to sw3ar's topic in Netduma R3 Support
That's a shame, we're still looking into it, it doesn't seem to be a straight forward issue but we'll definitely get there. -
high ping and random lag and filter not working

Are you both on the .41 firmware? -
For the phones/tablets, if you disable the Random/Private MAC addresses option for the WiFi when you're connected does it continue to happen?
-
Are you getting a worse ping than mentioned as it's not a bad ping at all really. What is the model of the modem/router the R3 is connected to and how have you set that to ensure all traffic flows to the R3? E.g. R3 in its DMZ, modem/bridge mode. Are ALL devices connected to the R3?

Hybrid VPN on The Netduma R3 - Current Status

I don't make decisions on policy or firmware so I'll pass it on, I've responded to your email. -
Routers are generally very low power and are designed to be on all the time so I would suggest as the others have to leave it on. You could disable the RGB though every night as that would save some power.
-
I'll add it to the list!

They're both blocked there unless you zoom out and see anything else being allowed?
-
Have you followed all the steps you did previously? Did you factory reset after the update?
-
Correct/we made fixes and sent to get it built again

I don't think it's necessarily the router in this scenario, I am pretty confident it's on the game side. If nothing has changed on your end and the only thing that has changed is a game update that would indicate its the issue -
Are you trying to force a server very far away from you? Looks like you use IPv6 so can leave it enabled
-
When you tried the beta did you go through the proper process so intermediary firmware > RC14?
-
We do not provide estimated times of arrival anymore as it is always subject to change. When it is ready it will be released. We're not purposely withholding a firmware, we're waiting for a build from NG, then it'll be tested. A beta firmware is not required to enjoy the router features, all the features you need you already have to eliminate lag and have a better online experience.
-
The router purpose isn't to get you bot lobbies. Disable Steady Ping on the Geo-Filter page by clicking Steady Ping at the top of the map and the ping will be more as you expect.
-
Could definitely be the above also, let us know how you get on

HybridVPN isn't implemented yet but will likely come in the next firmware. I don't know anything about the VPN you're using but if it provides you with wireguard or OpenVPN configuration files it would work

All ethernet ports on back of router no longer work.

I'm sure it would be possible yes but most games do already have some sort of networking data you can enable in game, especially the esports type games so I don't know how beneficial it could be. I will add it to the list though, would definitely be a really cool addition to our portfolio.

It's not a contradiction, we get a build, it goes through testing, if it passes then it can be released, if it doesn't then fixes have to be made and it has to be built and tested again. Rinse, repeat until it's at a stable place to release.
