What is the game you're playing specifically? When it's doing what is happening in the video, presumably you're searching for a match then and it never gets you a game? I can't provide settings advice for feel based performance, I need concrete stats that may explain why it feels that way for example, what is your ping on the Geo-Filter or in game? When you notice it not performing well has the ping increased a lot suddenly or rapidly going up and down etc? What is the model of the modem/router the R3 is connected to and how have you set that to ensure all traffic flows to the R3? E.g. R3 in its DMZ, modem/bridge mode Congestion Control is that Always or Auto? What about your SmartBOOST priorities? We don't make any hardware comparisons to ISP routers simply because there are 1000's of them and impossible to know what people may have. The hardware isn't what makes the difference (though it's perfectly capable), it's the software.

New R3 setup. Connects to WIFI with no internet.
Netduma Fraser replied to MackMurder's topic in Netduma R3 Support
Confirm you're still physically connected to the router then refresh the page and you should get in then -
Is that with speed test bypass enabled or disabled? How is it with Always and without HVPN though?

Just another fun day of Netduma not loading lol

What would be really helpful actually is if you could record your screen using https://jam.dev which should collect extra information for the team, if you share the link with us once done we can take a look -

XR1000V2 QOS Congestion Control
Netduma Fraser replied to kringle's topic in NETGEAR Nighthawk Support (XR range)
Connection Benchmark does disconnect devices so that makes sense. I'd suggest following this guide https://support.netduma.com/en/support/solutions/articles/16000074717-how-to-test-your-internet-ping while downloading/streaming etc and start with a high value for Congestion Control (set to Always), say 95% then check, decrease by 10%, check, decrease by 10% etc, until you get to a value that is pretty good and then try 5% either side of that value to see if it can be improved. It's important to note that Download & Upload on Congestion Control don't have to be the same value and that you may have a better experience with differing values. This will be a more real world test. -
New R3 setup. Connects to WIFI with no internet.
Netduma Fraser replied to MackMurder's topic in Netduma R3 Support
Have you accessed the router interface/used the app to complete the Setup Wizard? If not you will need to do that first before you can get internet. -
You can put the videos here or explain the issue, likely settings can be changed to resolve that. Why do you need to reboot/reset before you use it? We can't diagnose based off feel so what is your ping on the Geo-Filter/in game? Does it spike? How have you setup Congestion Control & SmartBOOST specifically?
-
Depending on what you're playing this can be due to the game processing delay which we can't calculate, not all games choose to include it in their calculation but some do like CoD historically

Could you explain the issues you're having exactly? Then I can best advise

How do I go about a warranty claim?
Netduma Fraser replied to SlaughterhouseSean's topic in Netduma R2 Support
You can see the terms here: https://netduma.com/terms/ if you have your order number I can look into your warranty eligibility. I don't think the router is faulty as of yet, I'd have to have more information before I could say either way. -

Sign up for Early Access: https://forum.netduma.com/topic/39415-introducing-early-access/ and we can get you on that firmware to see if it works better then. It's been too long since you purchased to return for a refund. -
Thanks for this, I'll pass it on. I've also given you Early Access so you can see this topic: https://forum.netduma.com/topic/56332-r3-disconnections/ where the devs are actively trying to get remote access to routers when the issue happens so they can diagnose more so please consider posting there when it happens/keep any eye on the topic for up to date news direct from the devs on the issue.

There isn't any reason from the router perspective why this would happen unless you disabled DHCP. If you try with different/new ethernet cables do they work?

problem with XR700....

NEW XR500 BETA FIRMWARE: 3.3.535
Netduma Fraser replied to Netduma Lew's topic in NETGEAR Nighthawk Support (XR range)
There won't be any more feature updates but we will do some more bug fixes updates from what I've been told -
What game are you playing exactly?
-
I suspect that is more of an issue with HVPN and other features working optimally together which is something we're looking into currently - if you disable HVPN I think it would behave as normal
-
That's fine, the speed test isn't always going to be pin point accurate but it doesn't mean the router is limiting you - check speedtest.net for example, I think you'll see more consistent results there
-
We don't do that no, we're aware of the issue though and looking into it so should have a permanent fix soon

Manual install on Smart Modem 2
Netduma Fraser replied to flanque's topic in Telstra Internet Optimiser support
You can only use Game Optimiser/DumaOS by subscribing to the monthly service via Telstra, there is no way to install this manually. If you want a DumaOS router you would need to purchase one that has it installed such as our own Netduma R3. -
You can see the terms here: https://netduma.com/terms If you want to pursue it or have any questions on it you can email [email protected] about it
-
Sounds like you have WiFi connected on your PC at the same time, disable WiFi entirely on the PC and see if that fixes it.
-
What do you mean it kicks them out exactly?
-
That's really weird, a double NAT always indicates the modem isn't setup to pass traffic directly through to the router so it will be something on the modem side causing it. Might be worth contacting your ISP about it, they may be able to link up an update on their side with the issue happening for example.
