One day of ownership - wifi drop outs, slow speed.
Netduma Fraser replied to Danmc17's topic in Netduma R3 Support
Set up with BT credentials does that mean you're using PPPoE on the R3? If so are you able to have the BT hub handle that instead and then see if performance is better? -
You'd still be able to access. LAN IPv6 is for local IPv6 addresses which wouldn't be applicable in this scenario. Interesting okay so check the IP on the console when you're connected via WiFi and then again via ethernet, then match these with the IPs on the Device Manager. For the WiFi version of the console what settings have you set up for this? Then again for the wired one, what settings have you done? Make the ethernet device changes the same as the WiFi (remove every change if needed), then check, does it work properly?

Could you record this happening with https://jam.dev please? This will record with some extra information that'll be really helpful for the devs, once you're done there will be a button at the end to copy link and then just paste that here.

Access using routerlogin.net/adv_index.htm or 192.168.1.1/adv_index.htm and perform a factory reset from there, wait 4 minutes then see if you can access please -
XR1000V2 QOS Congestion Control

You only need to worry about packet loss if it appears on the bottom graph which you're not seeing so that's fine. There are some little spikes, are you able to reduce those at all? -
Just another fun day of Netduma not loading lol

That would be great thanks! -
XR1000 Geofilter broken.
Netduma Fraser replied to Dc38's topic in NETGEAR Nighthawk Support (XR range)
By manually do you mean you typed in your address or you clicked on the icon and then clicked on the map? As the latter should definitely work and we're aware of the former. The location doesn't need to be pin point accurate, as longs as its in your general area. -
What is the game you're playing specifically? When it's doing what is happening in the video, presumably you're searching for a match then and it never gets you a game? I can't provide settings advice for feel based performance, I need concrete stats that may explain why it feels that way for example, what is your ping on the Geo-Filter or in game? When you notice it not performing well has the ping increased a lot suddenly or rapidly going up and down etc? What is the model of the modem/router the R3 is connected to and how have you set that to ensure all traffic flows to the R3? E.g. R3 in its DMZ, modem/bridge mode Congestion Control is that Always or Auto? What about your SmartBOOST priorities? We don't make any hardware comparisons to ISP routers simply because there are 1000's of them and impossible to know what people may have. The hardware isn't what makes the difference (though it's perfectly capable), it's the software.

New R3 setup. Connects to WIFI with no internet.
Netduma Fraser replied to MackMurder's topic in Netduma R3 Support
Confirm you're still physically connected to the router then refresh the page and you should get in then -
Is that with speed test bypass enabled or disabled? How is it with Always and without HVPN though?

What would be really helpful actually is if you could record your screen using https://jam.dev which should collect extra information for the team, if you share the link with us once done we can take a look -

Connection Benchmark does disconnect devices so that makes sense. I'd suggest following this guide https://support.netduma.com/en/support/solutions/articles/16000074717-how-to-test-your-internet-ping while downloading/streaming etc and start with a high value for Congestion Control (set to Always), say 95% then check, decrease by 10%, check, decrease by 10% etc, until you get to a value that is pretty good and then try 5% either side of that value to see if it can be improved. It's important to note that Download & Upload on Congestion Control don't have to be the same value and that you may have a better experience with differing values. This will be a more real world test. -
New R3 setup. Connects to WIFI with no internet.
Netduma Fraser replied to MackMurder's topic in Netduma R3 Support
Have you accessed the router interface/used the app to complete the Setup Wizard? If not you will need to do that first before you can get internet. -
You can put the videos here or explain the issue, likely settings can be changed to resolve that. Why do you need to reboot/reset before you use it? We can't diagnose based off feel so what is your ping on the Geo-Filter/in game? Does it spike? How have you setup Congestion Control & SmartBOOST specifically?
-
Depending on what you're playing this can be due to the game processing delay which we can't calculate, not all games choose to include it in their calculation but some do like CoD historically

Could you explain the issues you're having exactly? Then I can best advise

How do I go about a warranty claim?
Netduma Fraser replied to SlaughterhouseSean's topic in Netduma R2 Support
You can see the terms here: https://netduma.com/terms/ if you have your order number I can look into your warranty eligibility. I don't think the router is faulty as of yet, I'd have to have more information before I could say either way. -

Sign up for Early Access: https://forum.netduma.com/topic/39415-introducing-early-access/ and we can get you on that firmware to see if it works better then. It's been too long since you purchased to return for a refund. -
Thanks for this, I'll pass it on. I've also given you Early Access so you can see this topic: https://forum.netduma.com/topic/56332-r3-disconnections/ where the devs are actively trying to get remote access to routers when the issue happens so they can diagnose more so please consider posting there when it happens/keep any eye on the topic for up to date news direct from the devs on the issue.

There isn't any reason from the router perspective why this would happen unless you disabled DHCP. If you try with different/new ethernet cables do they work?
