We haven't been informed of an issue like this, do you see anything being blocked when you're kicked from the game?

Unable to connect to EA servers. - Apex Legends
Netduma Fraser replied to thahyp's topic in Netduma R3 Support
Right okay so I think it's more akin to something like Fortnite, I suspect if you keep trying to connect it will eventually let you in or it could be that the player count for that server is low and that's why it is trying to get you in a different server. Have you ever been able to connect to it without the Geo or can you not tell? -

Using the Geo-Filter for Apex is a bit hit or miss really. When you get that error do you see anything outside your radius being blocked? -
I think it'll be fixed properly in the next version so for now I would recommend having the ISP router handle it

Are you on the latest firmware here: https://forum.netduma.com/topic/56107-new-r3-firmware-40236/ Were you doing a big download at the time when it happened? If the website has a lot of ads or trackers then in theory it could slow down the loading if Adblocker is blocking them all. You could add any particular websites to the whitelist so they'll work as normal while Adblocker is still enabled.

This is something that's been requested before so it is possible we will have that included in future. -

No worries, sorry I couldn't do more! -

XR1000 Geofilter broken.
Netduma Fraser replied to Dc38's topic in NETGEAR Nighthawk Support (XR range)
Okay disable Armor then check again please -
It does work yes, it's not always 100% reliable which is why we are rewriting the feature entirely but it should have worked for you at some point. I suspect then that something may be blocking it. What is the model of the modem/router the R3 is connected to and how have you set that to ensure all traffic flows to the R3? E.g. R3 in its DMZ, modem/bridge mode

[Netduma R1 and R2] not working at all

Sorry to hear that, you're welcome, as commiseration I can offer you 30% off an R3 if that's something you'd be interested in. -
No it won't affect gaming at all whether it's enabled or disabled

Do the following please: Quit the game and game client completely (e.g. Steam, Battle.net including from the System Tray) Remove device from the Geo-Filter In the Device Manager give the PC a PlayStation device type Resync from the Geo-Filter Map menu Re-add the device to the Geo-Filter (it should now add with the Console service) Set up the Geo-Filter how you like I've added a step to the above. Always use the simple radius mode for the moment. Make sure Geo-Latency is disabled. Remove all the denied servers you have added, when someone has added so many the likelihood of blocking something that is required to get you a game increases. Once you've done all that actually reboot the PC, then try again please.

Try this: Quit the application/game/client completely Remove device from the Geo-Filter Give PC PlayStation Device Type in the Device Manager Resync from the Geo-Filter Map menu Re-add the device to the Geo-Filter with the manual option Set up the Geo-Filter how you like Wait 2 minutes Boot up application/game/client Then see if it works better.

So Ping Optimizer essentially runs tests to identify the best percentages for Congestion Control - Simple will just test the download and make changes, Expert will test both download & upload and make changes to both. Personally instead of either of those options, I'd follow this guide: https://support.netduma.com/en/support/solutions/articles/16000074717-how-to-test-your-internet-ping while downloading/streaming on your network then start with a high value for Congestion Control (set to Always), say 95% then check, decrease by 10%, check, decrease by 10% etc, until you get to a value that is pretty good and then try 5% either side of that value to see if it can be improved. It's important to note that Download & Upload on Congestion Control don't have to be the same value and that you may have a better experience with differing values. In my opinion this is the best way to do it as it's a real world test using traffic you would normally do and see how Congestion Control manages that real traffic. You don't need the app or browser open for the interface for it to function but you can have it open if you want to monitor the Geo-Filter for example.
