There isn't a bandwidth allocation option per se anymore as the point of SmartQoS/BOOST is to allocate bandwidth automatically based on usage/your specific priorities. You can reserve bandwidth but I don't think it will allow you to reserve that much - click the icon top right on the SmartQoS page > Manage Profiles > Primary profile > Click the bar type icon top right and you can reserve bandwidth there. Reserving that much bandwidth just for gaming is unnecessary, gaming uses barely 1Mbps most of the time and doesn't use more bandwidth just because it's available.

Great to hear, thanks for the update! Once we've sorted the issue we'll do a cloud update so it can work with the PC device type. -
It can't reduce your ping to servers where the high ping is entirely because of your distance from that server - it can't beat the speed of light! However, yes it can help you to force those specific servers in the UK/EU that play the best for you.

We're aware of this issue and looking into it, in the meantime, remove the device from the Geo-Filter, then in the Device Manager give the PC the Xbox device type, then re-add it to the Geo-Filter and it should work then. -
You'll need to sign up here: https://forum.netduma.com/topic/39415-introducing-early-access/ and then we can get you added.

I've not heard anything yet, I'll see what the plan is

No not specifically, with SmartQoS it's all done automatically based on need/your priorities. So the best thing to do would be either to remove streaming from priorities or perhaps add devices that you want to prioritize over the TV instead.

I think we have a couple of people with Starlink, just keep in mind that it won't be able to resolve the inherent instability that comes with satellite internet.

I've not encountered anyone mentioning the R3 overheating thus far and given we're in the height of summer I'd take that as a good sign!

XR1000 BETA NEWS?
Netduma Fraser replied to DARKNESS's topic in NETGEAR Nighthawk Support (XR range)
It thinks it's an R2 for some reason which is likely part of the problem but yes when the update for the router is out, 3.3 which includes dumaweb the app should just start working better without a specific update for it -
Ah okay, I think it'll be due to using PPPoE and that'll be the max you can achieve while having the R2 handle it.

Don't worry about the internal test, it's not always going to be accurate. You said your ISP hub died so what's the setup now specifically? I've given you Early Access to try that firmware: https://forum.netduma.com/forum/144-netduma-r2-early-access/

Great thanks, keep us posted!

The app was fixed a long time ago I believe, are you still unable to login? -
I don't have a specific link for one, there has been a lot of posts! If I come across one I'll pass it on to you
-
We have identified switches as a potential cause of disconnects so could you remove that from the setup for awhile and use WiFi instead and see if you get the same issue? It would affect all devices as well.
-
We don't have specific support for mesh so I can't guarantee it will work - I have seen others use mesh with it and it has worked

XR1000 BETA NEWS?

We are aware of that aspect, they should all be done manually for the moment -
You don't need those traffic rules. By the looks of it you've told the router your bandwidth speeds are 419/102 - change it to what you expect in the Congestion Control menu and see if you get better results then.

Could you disable the Adblocker on your browser and try it again please?

HybridVPN on XR450 no longer loading
Netduma Fraser replied to dissonant's topic in NETGEAR Nighthawk Support (XR range)
A factory reset would likely work but it's not a good idea to make a save file while you have an issue and restore it afterwards as you may restore the issue. If you have a file from this firmware version prior to the issue then you could restore it - not every setting is saved though. -
Nothing really in the logs unfortunately - what firmware version are you on? Do you notice a pattern with when it starts happening, e.g. downloading a large file? Are you using a network switch?
-
As long as you are able to connect it to your existing modem/router via ethernet then yes it will work. Do keep in mind that the Geo-Filter can only force you onto available servers and there may not be many in your region so it won't necessarily lower your ping much in that sense. Everything else like QoS will still work just fine.

We don't have an ETA, we're waiting for NG to release it. The router still works without updates, what is the issue you're having specifically?
