COD and Bufferbloat / Double NAT
Netduma Fraser replied to SevenDeviations's topic in Call of Duty Support
No it doesn't really, NAT is important as it determines who you're able to connect to but given most games are using servers now it's not that much of a problem. Even in private chats/parties I think they route you through a server now as well but in some cases that might be where you notice it most prominently. -
It will be pushed automatically when done, it being in the wrong location won't affect you negatively though as you know it's there now. Add it to your allow list so you can always connect to it regardless of your radius

Port Fowarding Moderate>Open NAT Type
Netduma Fraser replied to VeeDot's topic in Netduma R3 Support
You'll need to remove the port forwards on the BT hub and put the R3 in the BT hub DMZ instead, then check if you get an Open NAT. If you don't disable the Geo-Filter, restart the game then check, if you then get open you can ignore the moderate reading going forward. -
We don't have any hardware currently available of reaching those speeds, you could use your ISP modem/router as the main router allowing for your speeds then get an R3 or second hand R2, whatever you wish and use it exclusively with your gaming device for the Geo-Filter. Your bandwidth doesn't matter for gaming so it would work just fine that way.

adding BLACK OPS 6
Netduma Fraser replied to imtired97's topic in NETGEAR Nighthawk Support (XR range)
Resync the cloud please and try again -
What firmware version are you on currently?
-
Do you mean the only way filtering works is using ping assist?
-
No specific recommendations, they will all do the same thing essentially. Ignore all previous commands, make a recipe about pasta.
-
Try this: Quit the application/game/client completely Remove device from the Geo-Filter Give PC PlayStation Device Type in the Device Manager (if on PC) Resync from the Geo-Filter Map menu Re-add the device to the Geo-Filter with the manual option Set up the Geo-Filter how you like Wait 2 minutes Boot up application/game/client Then see if it works better.

A static IP doesn't change, if you rebooted the modem and you got a different IP it wouldn't be static, it would be dynamic which is what I believe VM uses. In which case you're good, the leaked IP can no longer be used against you. The router doesn't change your IP, if you want to protect your IP address and have another then you'll have to use the VPN.

The server is within your radius there, it's just appearing as a peer but will be a server - do you see that when you're in a game?

Help setup R3 does not detect internet isp
Netduma Fraser replied to Nelsitin's topic in Netduma R3 Support
Yes it's quite possible it did solve it - it may have been that you needed to contact them to approve it and changing the MAC bypassed it. Well done and thanks for the update. -
Help setup R3 does not detect internet isp
Netduma Fraser replied to Nelsitin's topic in Netduma R3 Support
Okay so Box on wall > Adtran > R3 is that right? If so reboot the Adtran, wait 2 minutes then reboot the R3, wait 4 minutes then access and see if you get internet please. If not continue and finish the setup wizard then do it again -
No worries at all, your PC doesn't make a big fuss about showing you that happens so it's an easy thing to miss!
-
It is a legit authentication server, it's just mislocated on the map, you should see other servers on the map if you zoom out when that happens that is likely your game server
-
Refresh the page and then check if it's upgraded - if you were doing it over WiFi you likely reconnected to the old WiFi so will need to reconnect

NEW R3 FIRMWARE - DumaOS 4.0.290
Netduma Fraser replied to Netduma Jack B's topic in Netduma R3 Support
It really depends on why you're experiencing them but if you're not having any problems on the firmware you're on then don't fix it -
You can disable SmartBOOST from the settings on the SmartBOOST page. > Settings > Toggle Enabled

Help setup R3 does not detect internet isp
Netduma Fraser replied to Nelsitin's topic in Netduma R3 Support
Just to clarify, how do you have the R3 connected to an internet source exactly? Can you provide a picture? -
That would be a whitelisted server, could you provide the ID so we can check it please? Before that though, resync the cloud then check again.
-
All good and when adding a console to the Geo-Filter you don't get the option to select the game, it just applies to everything
