Netduma Liam got a reaction from AlexVillas in Introducing Early Access
Hey all,
Hope you're all doing well and looking forward to the release of 3.2.
I'm just writing a quick post to let you know that we're looking for Early Access testers for future R2 DumaOS releases, starting with this one.
The purpose of the early access group is to test new firmwares on a larger scale right before we release them publicly.
Please note that these firmwares might not be completely stable and you may find issues, so beware of this before choosing to upgrade to them.
Go ahead and sign-up below: we'll reach out if you've been added!

I don't believe it's cancelled, but as far as I'm aware it's on hold for the moment. I don't have an ETA or and idea as to when it's going to be continued and eventually released I'm afraid.

Netduma Liam got a reaction from robert27841 in XR700 Beta Update
We just tested a version yesterday, it did pretty well. We've requested a new firmware from NETGEAR with some new patches in it so we're hoping we might receive that back soon. Unfortunately I don't know whether that will be the one we give to testers until we've tested it so I don't have an ETA. It's in the works though!

Welcome to the forum!
Out of interest, why do you need to keep rebooting the router?
I'd suggest following the below optimal settings guides for getting setup for CoD!

Netduma Liam got a reaction from AZX in Cod mw2 better hit reg
Not as yet, we're testing firmware currently and if we feel as though it could do with beta testing we'll release it as an early access firmware. Keep an eye out on the forum, we'll post about it if we're going to do something along those lines.

Netduma Liam got a reaction from wrighty338 in Have i got the right setup for frostbite based games?
Yes, we're essentially looking to get the ping under load as close to the base ping as possible.

Netduma Liam reacted to wrighty338 in Have i got the right setup for frostbite based games?
Thanks Fraser, it was only while penning this i thought to run the benchmark so il start some testing today at the higher end like you suggest. So im looking to improve my ping under load to the best rating i can basically?
The modem is one of those bog standard openreach modems from about 10 years ago. Yes we all connect to the R2 - im wired and the others are wifi.

Thanks for visualising and suggesting this, we really appreciate it. I think it's been suggested previously, but your detail and graphics here are really helpful. I like the idea, let me go ahead and add it to the roadmap so the team can see it and consider it for future!

Netduma Liam reacted to JoshTheLuz in Geofilter Compatibility Issue with Netduma's Hybrid VPN: A Call for Resolution
Many users would like to see the feature of Ping Heatmap updated to reflect the ping values through the VPN, and I am one of them. It would be very helpful if the Ping Heatmap could show real-time ping values under HybridVPN connections, so that we can understand the impact of the VPN on latency.
It would be ideal if this feature could be implemented with a dropdown menu that allows users to switch between viewing ping values with and without the VPN

Netduma Liam got a reaction from D3mon1c in Update?
You're looking in the right place, apologies for the broken link. That's been fixed now. There isn't yet a v1.0.0.68 firmware for the XR1000, one was released on NETGEAR's site by mistake hence why that link was updated, but the firmware was pulled thus breaking the link.

Netduma Liam reacted to Alias 1aB in Slow Speeds after changing to Netduma Router
so I wanted to chime in here. from what I can tell, the whole auto-detect bandwidth and connection benchmark are clearly affected by whatever servers the R2 is connecting to run these tests. the R2 comes no where close to being accurate on detecting bandwidth speeds. when these servers are corrected, it could change a lot of things for many users of DumaOS 3.
