Kostas83 reacted to Netduma Fraser in ANNOUNCEMENT: DUMAOS 3.0 IS HERE
I would recommend so, make sure to do a factory reset after it has completed. We're improving upon that, let us know how it is!

do you mean the Device Manager? It is very accurate, if one device is offline you can delete it without any problem

The current .56 build for xr500 is more stable currently. Wouldn't worry to much.

Kostas83 got a reaction from gkontos10 in ANNOUNCEMENT: The Netduma R2 is here
This the big question also for me... I use netgear products almost 20 years now... and I can say that is very solid products! My first router is still working!! But they have very very very slow release to fix problems with firmware updates... on the other hand we have Duma! This the reason I bought the XR500. For the software! Now with the R2 they have the opportunity to have a stable machine (imagine Netgear give some advise how to built the hardware) and the freedom to push firmware upgrades quickly!! I really start to think 🤔 to sell my XR500 and purchase the R2.

So now you'll have 5 routers to support.
The outdated R1 (sorry), 3 Netgear that you'll need validation from them to be authaurized to release anything on them and your new flagship that should be the center of attention.
These routers have different specs so will require more testing and validating.
Are you still confident that you can support all of that in the same roadmap without having to delay version for one of these routers or worse, skip feature because Netgear said no or the R1 can't handle it?
Thanks

Nope, our relationship with Netgear is still going strong and we'll be supporting all of their Nighthawk Pro Gaming routers going forward. If you're a Nighthawk Pro Gaming user, you won't be missing out on any new DumaOS features.

Sorry, I will send your details onto Netgear in the priority testers list, but it's up to them in the end to add you. I don't have direct control over it.

I'm not saying that, we just want it to as bug free as we can make it. The more people that test it the more bugs will be found.

Alex will have passed on your details, it is up to Netgear to invite you now and I couldn't say when that might happen.

Please don't do that, we're adding people fast to the beta so no need to do this.

Oh whoops, sorry. Give it a few days and you'll be moved up the XR500 beta queue.

Links haven't been sent out to the first wave yet but they will be very soon.

There hasn't been any word on release for it yet.. except netduma guys saying very soon. However that might be for the R1, and not the XR models. As Netgear controls the release for that. Also with the beta being a limited release at first, they may ask people testing it, to stay quiet about it, in public forums, and such. I could be wrong on this, but I just feel they might do that. As not everyone will get access to it, at the start.

Kostas83 got a reaction from thewilloxdiaz in how to get better hit detection
Hi my friend! The rules above are for traffic priority that you must put them on QoS. I don't know if you can do it on the R1 router. Try on the Rule2 you send outgoing ports start 3074 end 3076. On the rule1 outgoing ports start 30000 end 45000. But 3074-3076 I thing that is ports that use Xbox and PS4. If you play from PC maybe is different...

Kostas83 got a reaction from Hydros85 in Traffic Prioritization Settings: Modern Warefare (BO4)
Hi to everyone!!
As all of you I tried all this time to find the best settings. Here are my settings and something that really improved my game experience!
ABB on @70%
share access enable
qos 10mb down 5 mb upload
traffic priority 3074:3075 30000:45000 and reverse.
Reservation IP on PS4
disable all media share access
manual setup on PS4 for static IP and enter the MTU that I have from ISP, in my case 1492
And final for all of you that you have FTTC internet connection as I have. I set on the modem from my ISP pppoe pass through and then I set on my xr500 that my connection need log in, I set pppoe and I put my username and password from my ISP. With this way you avoid the double NAT.
With the above settings for 2 days now I play and my hit detection is perfect. Never first shoot first die. And I have really the feeling that all gunfights that I loose I fair. I am not a pro player but now I do very good scores and positive KD ratio. I am playing on hardcore mode with MP5 and only need 2 bullets to eliminate the enemy.

I think DMZ is the best option if you can not put your ISP router in bridge mode.
Anyway, try to phone your ISP company and ask to unlock the router (but do not tell them that your intention is to put it in bridge mode), and if not possible, ask them to put your XR500 in DMZ. If the router is blocked, means that, surely, the have remote acces to it and can manage it.

A lot of people fool around with their connection on purpose. Trying to throttle bandwith, saturate the connection on purpose or other gimmicks. Could be that he's doing one of those, or just plays on shitty wifi.
