Could you try disabling QoS completely please from the Congestion Control panel options and see if they load then?

It's suitable for a large house and as the WiFi is better it will have better penetration so should be fine.
Yes, it's much better this time around!
Estamos enviando mais convites o tempo todo, e você receberá um em breve.
It should be in pretty good shape yes, of course though we will be watching very closely after release as it is a completely different scenario having lots of people using it so I'm expecting bugs to appear like with any product but we'll be in good shape to release updates quicker than before. Yes it does support IPv6 and we're working hard to ensure other features work well with it. From our tests this has been resolved.

If people want to discuss AX/WiFi 6 etc please so do in another topic as it's going off topic here.

    1) Since the R2 will come with DumaOS 3.0, can we assume that the OS will be in great shape by then? Or will the R2 customers be part of the then ongoing DumaOS 3.0 Beta.
    2) Does the R2 have full IPv6 support? Refering to the issues from the IPv6 support tickets from the last few month.

No sorry it has not. We will investigate soon.
Ok I think I understand what you mean. You'd like to take multiple parameters describing a host and let the user use a heuristic to decide if the host is allowed or not. Then allow different heuristics for different games. You're already kinda of doing this with the combination of ping-assist and Geo-filtering.  Problem with other metrics like traceroute (hop-count) is they are very flaky as not all core routers respond to them also it is a very slow operation so if we were to do it it'd need to be running the background all the time.

See my prior response to Zennon about player-filtering. In regard to kicking a player out, in a server based game you can't do that you can only kick yourself out by blocking the connection. Hope that helps.

See my prior response to Zennon please.
We don't need any right now but please submit your interest by emailing [email protected] and the team will get back to you in due course
Sorry mate I'm not sure what you mean? Are you asking for DMZ on the router, if so that will be in the next DumaOS release Thanks for the kind words!
Netgear is a public company so we can't comment on anything about them as it is literally illegal as it could impact share price. So all my comments in this thread are regarding DumaOS.
Thanks for the suggestions on security. We're aware that is a big area for customers and we do want to bring something offerings to you at some point. But we're not currently developing that. On IPv6 you've already contacted us about this via email, we will add this in due course but our current goal is to bring new features. Remember IPv6 routing does work just some of the features don't. But rest assured it is coming soon.
The details of QoS is different on different platforms (we use fq-codel, codel and our own algo for bufferbloat). Kudos to David Taht for codel implementation btw. But remember that is only a 1/3 of our current QoS solution  Watch this space....
As mentioned earlier themes will be coming soon to DumaOS. They are actually already on milestone 1.3 but are buggy so we pulled the plug on them, they should be available soon.
Also one thing to clarify, any LAN traffic should only need wireless QoS as it does not actually reach the routers CPU when using the switch.

VLAN should be in next DumaOS release

    Yes that is being implemented.
Right so temporary ban being the key. Gotcha thanks for the feedback.
Can't comment on NG. And for the foresseable future we will push updates via firmware as simplify matters. But some day it would be cool to not do that....

So finally had the chance to set up my g1100 modem/router behind the r1, I have all my wifi devices connected to the fios router and only my 2 xboxes connected to the r1. Now I just need to tweak the r1 for optimal connection

Vrz tech support are idiots. Don't even waist your time calling unless it's to switch from coax to Ethernet. I just got my netduma this pass monday. I connected my r1 to my fios g1100 router and tried to put it in pass through / bridge mode and frontier wanted to charge me for premium technically support which is insane. Then go find out this g1100 modem router combo does not have a pass through feature. Vrz says to put the 3rd party router in DMZ but unfortunately with the g110 quatum gateway even in DMZ there is still restriction from the firewall. I used the netduma device manger page to allow me to connect to www.myfiosgateway.com then I logged in went to my connection / broadband and hit the release button there. As soon as the light on the g1100 turned red I unplugged the Ethernet cable and plugged it straight to the r1 taking the g1100 completely out of the equation. Waited a couple min then rebooted the netduma and stated pub stomping even harder in BO3.

I need to just fine tune the r1 now. Also need to figure out if 2 XBOXones can play cod at the same time and both have a open nat. With the fios g1100 I put one xb1 in DMZ and the other port forwarded but which ever xb1 turned on first got the open nat type the 2nd xb1 would get put in moderate but both xb1's under all settings / network settings / nat type: open on both. (Only in cod one will say moderate)

I also seen another user put their fios router after the netduma, I would like to do that 2, have my game consoles connected to the netduma then every other device to the fios g1100.

I called vz to change from coax to Ethernet before I even knew about netduma. The call took about 5-10 minutes and there was no issue. My ping to google.com went from 6ms to 3ms. I thought at the time that this was my lag issue with cod. I was dead wrong and continued my research which led me eventually to get the Duma.

    My setup now is ONT>Duma>fios router>netgear r6300.

Wifi off on the vz router (in a metal box in my electrical room in basement anyway). Wifi on Duma and r6300 set to same id and pass, Duma set to channel 6, r6300 channel 11.

DHCP is off on both the vz and r6300 routers.

Everything works great and being that the Duma is the first router in the chain, it sees every device in my home which gives me full control. Now it's just a matter of me understanding and mastering the netduma settings.

If anyone needs assistance with this type of setup, feel free to pm me or post here. I've been a part of the community only a short while and already love the vibe. I look forward to future updates. This is an amazing product.

VZW said the coax was needed for tv and phone. They also said we would need to keep their router if we ever wanted tech support. I didn't tell them there was a Fraser on tech support, because I figured they'd want one too

For all Fios users.  If you do not have TV or Phone services attached to your Fios subscription you can connect your R1 directly to the ONT via CAT5 or CAT6.

All you have to do is:
Run the CAT5 or 6 from the R1 to your ONT. (use CAT6 if possible - straight thru on the RJ-45 connectors ) Open up ONT and plug the new cable into the Ethernet port Call Up VZW Tech Support and ask them nicely to change the settings in your ONT to operate via Ethernet instead of Coax and tell them you want to use your own Kick A** Netduma router. Make sure you have turned off/ disconnected their Actiontec Router Connect the new Ethernet cable to Port 1 in your DUMA R1 Ask VZW Tech Support to break the lease on your IP. If you follow these instructions you should be good to go.  This improved my ping by 25-35 ms.

After a couple of weeks of use without the extra modem between the R1 and the VZW's ONT, I have great news to report.  With the VZW provided modem in the mix  I would always get "good" Ping, "good" Jitter, and "exceptional" Spikes, when I ran the R1's internet diagnosis.  Now since it's been removed they're all "Exceptional" every time I test.  I can definitely say it improved Ping and Jitter and the overall smoothness of game play.
