Some streaming services block VPNs so Peacock may be one of them, in which case most likely any free VPNs would definitely be blocked. What advice are you looking for specifically? In theory all you need to do is get a VPN, connect to it on the router and then apply it to the device you want to use.

Is it still saying no VPN configured when you try to connect?

xr 500 dropping internet.
Netduma Fraser replied to rjaaayyy's topic in NETGEAR Nighthawk Support (XR range)
It may have saved automatically, is there a log on the USB if you plug it into a PC to check? -
Could you try with a different server/config (adjust the config to match the template) and try again please?

A latest internal firmware passed at 90% with two important issues being flagged that we're currently working on resolving so it depends how long that takes really, shouldn't be too long and then it should pass at 100% and we can proceed with a release. 450 should follow very closely after the 500.

We were already looking at it and it was caused by a complex problem that we were able to fix on a test router so it's looking like that fix will be applied to the next version.

Do you have another adapter with the same output you can try just in case that has become faulty?
-
It isn't currently available on the XR but will be added, should be in the next version

I'll have to check with the team regarding this, I know we've received a lot fewer reports of the issue with newer firmware versions. We've pretty much fixed it on the R2 as far as I can tell so should certainly be able to reduce it even further.

Is that the one they gave you as it seems to be using the same DNS and address - if it is then you need to add the listen port option and take the /16 option off the address line and then try again with your keys

Recomiendo encarecidamente echar un vistazo a nuestras guías de configuración óptima, que le ayudarán a obtener la mejor configuración: http://support.netduma.com/en/support/solutions/folders/16000090646

Interesting, is it possible you're using the wrong power adapter? It's a fairly generic looking adapter but the voltage etc may be different than what you need. The adapter should read 100-240V, 50-60Hz; Output: 12V, 1000mA - is that what you're using?

Can you provide the config (minus keys) you obtained from Surfshark and the config you're currently trying to use (minus keys) please?

Did you change it to match the template I provided above?

As the router has been factory reset you won't get internet through it until the Setup Wizard has been completed so if you do get internet through it that indicates it's not working as it's acting like a switch. When did the issues first start, after rebooting, resetting, changing settings etc?
-
That's disappointing! On the Traffic Controller page, make rules to allow ALL traffic for the minis and see if that works better please.

This guide will show you what to do: http://support.netduma.com/en/support/solutions/articles/16000074717-how-to-test-your-internet-ping For WiFi, a few suggestions you may not have tried but can make a big difference: Ensure the router is in an elevated position - not on a metal surface Ensure there aren't any electrical / wireless devices e.g headphones etc within close proxity (~3 feet) if possible Set the antennae to this position _ | | _

Yes I would recommend enabling both, on the Network Monitor is there traffic shown when using the iPad?
-
The PC isn't set to a PlayStation, if it did then it would add with the Games Console service which would be better and yes Ping Assist 0 will help. It's important to do the process above as it will help.

Congestion Control should be used as that is one of the main features that will keep your ping lower and more stable. Check on the Device Manager the IP for the iPad, then on the iPad check the IP in WiFi Settings, do the IPs match?

Try this: Quit the application/game/client completely Remove device from the Geo-Filter Give PC PlayStation Device Type in the Device Manager Resync from the Geo-Filter Map menu Re-add the device to the Geo-Filter with the manual option Set up the Geo-Filter how you like but set Ping Assist to 0 Wait 2 minutes Boot up application/game/client Then see if it works better please.
