    For all Fios users. If you do not have TV or Phone services attached to your Fios subscription you can connect your R1 directly to the ONT via CAT5 or CAT6. All you have to do is: Run the CAT5 or 6 from the R1 to your ONT. (use CAT6 if possible - straight thru on the RJ-45 connectors ) Open up ONT and plug the new cable into the Ethernet port Call Up VZW Tech Support and ask them nicely to change the settings in your ONT to operate via Ethernet instead of Coax and tell them you want to use your own Kick A** Netduma router. Make sure you have turned off/ disconnected their Actiontec Router Connect the new Ethernet cable to Port 1 in your DUMA R1 Ask VZW Tech Support to break the lease on your IP. If you follow these instructions you should be good to go. This improved my ping by 25-35 ms.
