The Geo-Filter just connects you to the server of your choice, if the ping is too high then you may need to fine tune QoS but as it is a beta I suspect there are some connection issues
-
Yes it does, when a server has a white circle around it it's either been added to the allow list by you or whitelisted by us - that one is definitely whitelisted, it's an authentication server required for online play. The biggest icon will always be your game server.
-
Yes it will, as long as we have support for the game but yes most games will work, even those we haven't specifically tested

What do you want supported in DumaOS?

That would be with QoS disabled most likely though you might be able to get that with QoS enabled -
Lag Spikes when playing Call of duty
Netduma Fraser replied to Gidgriff's topic in Community Discussion
It's better to do it with all your devices connected and using the internet as they normally would so that QoS can be fine tuned to help out when you need it the most. Is it the 500 you're on? If so you could always try the beta -
Looks very good, can't get better than that!

Do you have a Traffic Prioritization rule enabled? Disable Private Addresses on the iPhone then it should be blocked correctly. -
This Rapp Is Not Loaded Yet, please try again in a minute.
Netduma Fraser replied to EOD's topic in Netduma R2 Support
We haven't seen the issue much at all anymore, I'm confident the next firmware will only build on that. Go to the System Information page and then in the Rapp panel menu ≡ change the retries to 5, reboot from the interface, wait 2 minutes before accessing and see if it works then please. -
R-APP Device Manager will not load
Netduma Fraser replied to Junglee's topic in NETGEAR Nighthawk Support (XR range)
I'd suggest reupgrading the firmware using the TFTP method, this bypasses the boot process and any issues there then once done do a factory reset for the freshest install possible: https://kb.netgear.com/000059634/How-do-I-upload-firmware-to-my-NETGEAR-router-using-TFTP-from-the-Microsoft-Windows-Command-Prompt?article=000059634 -
Best thing to do in that scenario is to go to the Device Manager and give your PC the PlayStation device type. Then go back to the Geo-Filter and add the PC with the Manual option, that will add it as a console and allow you to filter multiple games without changing the service.

In theory 950/950 but I'd expect something closer to 900/600 in reality -

You may have an issue that other people don't, in this case until that's been done I can't say if they're experiencing a bug or not -

Correct you won't get symmetric 1000Mbps out of the R2 -

I think in this instance it's likely to be share excess needs to be disabled for upload -
XR 1000 Multiple Issues
Netduma Fraser replied to khola's topic in NETGEAR Nighthawk Support (XR range)
You'll need to disable Share Excess for upload as well and it should work. What are the specific devices you're unable to block specifically? It's definitely not as fast as the other platforms, we'll optimize that as much as we can. Taking too long message appearing doesn't mean it isn't working, if you wait a minute then refresh it will have applied but it is odd you're seeing it so frequently, did you have this issue after upgrading to the latest version? -
R-APP Device Manager will not load
Netduma Fraser replied to Junglee's topic in NETGEAR Nighthawk Support (XR range)
I think the best idea would be to re-install the firmware, you shouldn't need to do a factory reset after, see if that resolves it -

When did the issue occur exactly, was it after changing a setting? -
XR 1000 Multiple Issues

Hello, welcome to the forum! Are you determining this by doing a speedtest? If so you'll have Share Excess enabled, disabling this will then act as a hard limit for the allocations. Are you doing this on the Device Manager? Are you using Armor? Clearing browser cache/cookies then refreshing each page once should make it faster after that What changes specifically are you making when getting the too long message? The device not found message means you've deleted a device and it was currently added to Traffic Prio or the Geo-Filter for example - a factory reset or connecting the devices back via the same method, 2.4/5Ghz/ethernet and with the same name/device type will fix it. -
Did you put the R1 in the DMZ on the BT Hub? Yes it would but upload may not work properly on Congestion Control which we're working on resolving.

R-APP Device Manager will not load
Netduma Fraser replied to Junglee's topic in NETGEAR Nighthawk Support (XR range)
When you reboot are you waiting at least 2 minutes before accessing? -
What do you mean the other features don't work exactly? You will likely get closer to your expected speeds with PPPoE with the R2
-
Did changing the retries help with the Device Manager loading? You don't want to use HTTPS it will make it slower and potentially cause errors, all you would need to do though is amend the URL. I haven't seen that reloading issue before, are you using routerlogin.net or the IP address?
