WPA2/WPA3 Implementation
Netduma Fraser replied to PharmDawgg's topic in Feature Ideas & Improvements for DumaOS
It has been requested so it's on the list to be potentially added, thanks for the request! -
questions Some questions about the R3
Netduma Fraser replied to Cath's topic in Community Discussion
Yes exactly, it would be the Geo-Filter just causing a misreading as it can't make affect your NAT status - essentially it would be blocking the server the NAT test uses. Is your PiHole upstream and your ISP modem/router upstream of that? UPnP should clear the old rule out after awhile Really strange with Ping Heatmap, if you right click the page, go to inspect element then in the window that appears go to Network and disable cache then hold the browser refresh button until it gives you the options, click hard refresh and empty cache, does it show options for Heatmap then? -
It's possible it was Geo-Latency, we're looking into the Geo-Filter as a whole as there are improvements to make, including occasions where you can get a game outside your radius, we're hoping to provide some updates this week

Cannot log into DumaOS from Mac or IOS
Netduma Fraser replied to Seb1991's topic in Netduma R3 Support
That makes sense thank you, the dashboard won't show anything for network data as you can't connect to the internet. Could you provide a screenshot of the network settings on the Sky Hub please? If you connect a device direct to the Sky hub does it get internet? -
It can be quite hard to force specific servers such as Spain and Italy, someone else has mentioned this server being hard to force as well. Ultimately if you can force it but you wait a long time (the other user said 20minutes) then the router isn't stopping you from connecting to it, it's the game preventing you for whatever reason

geo-filter is not working for me in cod: warzone
Netduma Fraser replied to 9396264's topic in Netduma R3 Support
That was based on support that I've seen over the years not my personal experience, it's similar to the Spanish and Italian servers which are notoriously hard to force. There is no specific way to check the popularity of the server. You could check by clicking on your device on the Geo-Filter and disabling the filtering then just playing games for awhile - servers you're connecting to will still show on the map and you can see if you ever get put in that server. -
I am new help me connect the router
Netduma Fraser replied to Shuaibkaka's topic in Netduma R3 Support
Reboot the V hub, wait 2 minutes then reboot the R3, wait 2 minutes and you should get internet -
Okay you're in the interface now that's good, we're working on those issues at the moment, they can sometimes fail, trying again can work but otherwise adjust settings manually in the meantime while we fix it

They should save without a save button, change them, wait around 30 seconds then exit and they should stay

XR500 to R3: Having Plenty of Issues
Netduma Fraser replied to Jones87's topic in Netduma R3 Support
Okay that's good, do keep an eye on the reboots. Do you still have access to the interface when the internet disconnects? If so when it happens go to Settings > Troubleshooting > Advanced and get the System logs please. Disable Adblocker in case that's blocking ad heavy sites and makes it appear like a disconnect. -
That's good to hear! Likely some interference in your home/area causing it, in which case changing channel should help with that

questions Some questions about the R3
Netduma Fraser replied to Cath's topic in Community Discussion
It's literally impossible to get 1ms games so that will be 100% a misreading unless the server is literally in your home, even then LAN connections usually run around 5ms. Someone has requested the ability to have a network drive via the USB so that could be a possibility in future, might achieve what you want in that regard. That makes sense re the overwriting. You should still be able to access that address upstream, you do have a unique setup though so could be why. We're looking into port forwarding/UPnP for NAT. It's possible the Geo-Filter is causing a misreading for the Geo-Filter, disable it then reboot the game, if it appears open then you can ignore it going forward when the Geo is enabled. Are you using an Adblocker on the web browser at all? What web browser/device are you using? First I've seen of that issue. -
Couldn't get VLAN to save for PPPoE

What do you mean the interface is blank? -
XR500 to R3: Having Plenty of Issues
Netduma Fraser replied to Jones87's topic in Netduma R3 Support
I've not seen anyone having a reboot loop on the R3 so this is something we definitely want to sort out, let's tackle that first, do you have it connected to a power extender or direct to an outlet? If an extender please try direct to an outlet. Otherwise do you have another power adapter you could try with? -
ANNOUNCEMENT: Introducing the Netduma R3
Netduma Fraser replied to Netduma Lew's topic in News & Announcements
That's fine though would indicate another router above that, is that right? If so would be best to have the AP behind the R3 -
Hold for 30 seconds, then release and wait 4 minutes

You don't need to do that with the Sky Hub in the setup as it will be handling that, is that how you have it setup currently? We're looking into the VLAN ID not saving currently - another reason to stay with Sky Hub > R3 while we fix it -
Thank you for that, I'll pass it onto the team to have a look at it as I feel they would have a better idea than me about why and how it should behave in this scenario
-
¿Configuraste el XR1000 para usar PPPoE/VLAN? Si es así, deberá eliminar PPPoE del R3, luego reiniciar el XR, esperar 4 minutos, luego reiniciar el R3, esperar 4 minutos y debería tener Internet.
-
I think you'll probably need to factory reset and then it should be fine after that. If the interface is still slow your web browser may be using significant system resources. I had the same problem recently but wasn't isolated to the R3, I was using the Brave browser and it was slow on the interface but every so often all tabs would stop working as Brave took 100% of the CPU, switched to Opera GX and no issues now, the R3 interface is snappy as it should be and no slow downs on other tabs

Thank you for the information, I will pass that onto the team! -
Yeah it won't adjust if you're not able to complete it. We're looking into it at the moment so hopefully we'll have some improvements for it this week
