Okay great so does the traffic rule work now?

They're different features, you don't have to use either of them together

Netduma R3 Geo filter 2.0 issue
Netduma Fraser replied to Cynical's topic in Feature Ideas & Improvements for DumaOS
I mean yes in theory that would happen, however there could be thousands of servers, especially given the population of Fortnite, millions of players at any one time, I don't think that would be feasible. Could you disable Steady Ping please and then see if it works better? -
That's great to hear, thanks for the update. You're very welcome!
-
Of Ping Assist? To allow you to specify games you want to connect to that fall within a certain ping range e.g. 10 - 30ms
-
Remove the priorities while you do the test then check again - make sure it is set to Always and not auto
-
It wouldn't be a public IP but a private IP. Could you swap the ethernet cable connected the R3 to the Giga please and see whether you then get internet after a reboot/if it shows an IP/connected

Apple Eco system and wifi extenders not working

You're very welcome, thank you! -
It has been suggested before so it's on the list

It's not possible currently with the Adblocker on the router, it is very hard to do. Best bet is to use a browser based adblocker.

Netduma R3 Geo filter 2.0 issue
Netduma Fraser replied to Cynical's topic in Feature Ideas & Improvements for DumaOS
Is the in game region matching where you're searching? Do you have any servers in your allow list? What servers appear to be missing? -
Oh I see, so it forces you to connect to servers you have manually allowed. Understood thanks, I'll pass it along to the team.
-
What do you mean by nothing happens when changing the Congestion Control sliders? You could set it to 80 but that would mean you have 80 ping every game so if possible would be better to force a specific area, see what your ping is to it and then adjust steady ping accordingly
-
On the WAN Settings page on the R3, does it give you an IP/say connected?
-
Not that you should prioritize speed necessarily, I just don't think you need to spend a lot of time fine tuning it as much - bufferbloat is lag caused when your network is saturated. If you're only gaming at the time and not downloading/using other devices at the same time then your connection won't become saturated and bufferbloat won't occur.
-
Okay thanks, I'll check in again and see if we can get it added. Not all servers may be online at the time you choose to play but as long as you've set the Geo-Filter up before you launch the game and if there are servers online and available within your specified settings you should only connect to those ones

Resync the cloud in the SmartBOOST menu then check again please

We do have someone providing feedback using that game primarily so we'll get it sorted -
Ping problem with local file transfer
Netduma Fraser replied to carmine19's topic in Netduma R3 Support
How do you have Congestion Control set? That's normal I believe, on Network Activity though if you go to the settings and show router traffic it might show up that way -
Some good advice above, a few things, depending on what the firmware changes you may need to find values that work better on that version - the same values may not necessarily work on every firmware version. SmartBOOST priorities can impact the test so best to remove them, find what works then add them back after. Now as you live by yourself and you're not doing any downloading at the same time as gaming you actually may not need to fine tune QoS as much as you have a lot of speed.

Glad you managed to get it sorted. Do try the suggestions above and see if that helps at all.

You shouldn't be able to get games like that then, are you actually getting games that way? Okay that'll be why then, the basic steady ping adds up to 10ms ping so if yours is fluctuating 15-20 you should use expert. The maximum that can be set is 80ms - this is the target ping so the ping you want to have, not the buffer amount. So with your average 60-80ms it should then work better with it set to 80. If you do get above 80 like you mentioned sometimes happens then it won't be able to prevent those fluctuations/absorb it.

Netduma R3 Geo filter 2.0 issue
Netduma Fraser replied to Cynical's topic in Feature Ideas & Improvements for DumaOS
Did you make sure to restart the game and wait after making the change as mentioned in the first reply? -
Just to be certain, do the above in terms of cabling, then reboot the giga, wait 2 minutes then reboot the R3, wait 4 minutes then check again please
