  1. The R3 WAN IP should be set as static/reserved on the Verizon router so the IP doesn't change, then put that in the DMZ
  2. Best to make a new topic and we can focus on you there but do other devices disconnect or is it just the gaming device dropping you from the game? Under what circumstances on the game is this happening? For example, could it be trying to change the host to one outside your radius?
  3. You can't influence where other players connect to, you can only influence what server you connect to - are you connecting to the Brazilian server?
  4. What changes are you making exactly? I'm not able to reproduce it on a later firmware so may be it has already been fixed
  5. That isn't possible, what's your usecase? Perhaps I can offer an alternative
  6. Couple of things to try: Set Firewall to low Enable SIP ALG Give the R3 a static/reserved IP on the hub and put in the DMZ
  7. In that case as I mentioned the R3 and you can keep your XR500 and put that in AP mode to get extra range
  8. I get that but just for troubleshooting purposes could you try it and see whether the same issue happens please?
  9. Use Games Console for Traffic Prioritization, also set the Congestion Control percentages to 70% for download and upload. You're only covering the Spanish server which is notoriously hard to force, you're going to be waiting a long time to get a game, you'll need to expand the radius a bit.
  10. That's very subjective, it depends entirely on what you want, do you want newer software and AX WiFi for example? If you did then after the next update is out I'd say the R3.
  11. They have to do security updates as it's very serious if they don't, you'll notice there is nothing else in those updates - they also don't have to answer to anyone as it's their router. It will be coming. Companies will always be doing more than one thing at a time that is normal.
  12. You start the party chat and invite everyone, then see if you get the same issue. It may be someone doesn't have an Open NAT
  13. You don't need internet access to access the interface, it's hard to say whether it is rebooting or not, assuming it is, do you have it connected to a power extender or direct to an outlet? If an extender please try direct to an outlet. Otherwise do you have another power adapter you could try with? While connected to the router via a wired Windows PC, open command prompt, type ipconfig press enter and then post a screenshot of the results here please.
  14. Nothing to upgrade to currently, once we're happy with the R3 version we'll then begin porting. This will save a lot of time in porting and make for better firmware when it does come to the R2.
  15. Quite possibly, keep us posted!
  16. If you click the top right of the page you can find them. Steady Ping isn't Ping Assist and can be found at the top of the Geo-Filter Map.
  17. Bandwidth Allocation isn't required, Congestion Control and Traffic Prioritization are the main features on that page you'd want to change. What are your Geo-Filter settings?
  18. No not really, it just determines who you are able to connect to but as you'll be connecting to servers it shouldn't cause much of an issue
  19. I think you do infact have a double NAT. The only solutions are to get a static public IP from your ISP (they will probably charge you) or switch to an ISP that doesn't use CG-NAT
  20. When playing on a console you can just prioritize gaming or the games console itself, that's why it's probably not working choosing the game specifically. See if that works. You also don't need to do the boost - that's just a temporary prioritization so you're doing it twice essentially by doing that which won't work any better
  21. Just to clarify, it's just lag in the party chat so the voice is distorted, delayed etc? Who is hosting the party chat?
  22. How did you do the prioritization exactly?
  23. Modem connected to XR500 PC connected via ethernet to XR500 Type my ip into Google and copy the result Open command prompt on the PC Type tracert and paste the IP you copied and press enter Count the number of lines in the results - ignore the first line that will be the XR500 IP
  24. Yes I get that, forget about the lights, can you access the interface via ethernet?
  25. Do you require PPPoE/VLAN then? You can do it when connected behind the XR and just ignore the XR IP in the results
