Issues with Duma OS geo filter
Netduma Fraser replied to Mercenary's topic in Feature Ideas & Improvements for DumaOS
Some servers are very hard to force and are not always available to be connected to. Heatmap shows the ping to servers in those areas where we have detected servers on the game but it doesn't mean they'll always be available, it's not a live representation of if a server is available if you see what I mean -
We are actually in the process of testing it currently so we'll get that sorted
-
Others have mentioned the ports are limited to 1Gbps, 15 devices is absolutely fine for the router
-
Thanks for the report, I'll pass that onto Alex to take a look

We have done some work on IPv6 in the next firmware so it might be it works better in that one when available

You can add the console to the DMZ on the R3 yes that will certainly help. Otherwise, what is the model of the modem/router the R3 is connected to and how have you set that to ensure all traffic flows to the R3? E.g. R3 in its DMZ, modem/bridge mode
-
We wouldn't be able to have that for this version, it has been suggested before though so it may come in future. Yes I believe that's how that particular VPN works

The previous router you used should have a maximum of two MAC addresses, they'd be printed on the label on the underside of it

Missing server for MW3 in Poland - Legionowo.
Netduma Fraser replied to Zli's topic in Netduma R3 Support
They won't be turned off for the router, the Geo-Filter allows you to connect to servers that are available, if the game doesn't prompt that connection then it can't force something that isn't there if you see what I mean. Do you ever get that server with the Geo-Filter disabled but where you can still see servers? If you can't then it's definitely not the router as it has no restrictions on the games you can join. -
Port Prio question
Netduma Fraser replied to Ivanbad's topic in NETGEAR Nighthawk Support (XR range)
You are going to get a lot of packets as it's real time communication. If you're playing single player the ping isn't going to matter really. It's possible you're being lag compensated. Try forcing servers with a slightly higher ping and see if that gives you a better experience. I'd just be speculating, could be they have packet loss or doesn't have an Open NAT etc. -
Missing server for MW3 in Poland - Legionowo.

Some servers are quite hard to force as they don't appear to be online all the time unfortunately -

We'll update it on Heatmap but it won't affect your ability to use the Geo-Filter to connect to them -

Quite possibly yes, if you could provide some data for us by following this that would really help: https://forum.netduma.com/topic/51505-adding-new-games-and-applications-to-dumaos/ -
Yes that's right

XR500 Connection Drops
Netduma Fraser replied to m0ngr3ll's topic in NETGEAR Nighthawk Support (XR range)
That's correct yes, there are quite a few unknowns though, in Device Manager remove all offline devices and make sure the ones with names do have an IP/check them against the IPs on the devices with DHCP enabled first
