connecting outside of my red for a 3rd time
Netduma Fraser replied to Westy147's topic in Netduma R3 Support
The filtering has been disabled - it says filter off on the right, you'll need to enable it -
Just so you know, the purpose of the router isn't to force far away servers, it's to get you close servers that ensure a low ping so doing what you're trying to do is not a guarantee. You can see the terms here: https://netduma.com/terms

New user - experiencing setting up problem
Netduma Fraser replied to gman's topic in Call of Duty Support
You need to enable Filtering Mode otherwise it isn't doing anything. If you're wanting to force servers then you need to put Ping Assist to 0. Otherwise that's correct -
Just to clarify, did you say you have never had an Open NAT on your connection? Yes if it is a CG-NAT requesting a static IPv4 public IP address would allow you to get an Open NAT?

I'll chase him, I'm asking about a few games this week so hopefully he'll have time to test them

I don't have any new information currently, it is/will support the XR1000

connecting outside of my red for a 3rd time
Netduma Fraser replied to Westy147's topic in Netduma R3 Support
Could you provide a screenshot of what you're seeing when it happens please? Do you notice any patterns of when it stops working? -
Okay thank you, I'll pass it onto the team to look at

I'm sure I've mentioned the steps to you previously about how to prevent that right? Are you changing Geo-Filter settings/radius size etc while on the game? -
Okay so just the dashboard, that's okay, it's just not reporting it correctly but it is working. We'll be addressing that.

How to use Geo Filter on Destiny 2 Now
Netduma Fraser replied to Jayco93's topic in NETGEAR Nighthawk Support (XR range)
It would allow any servers within the radius, the game will pick whichever one it wants to if there are multiple covered -

Use Ping Optimizer to locate the servers you want to connect to then set your home location/radius size to cover those locations on the Geo-Filter and search for a game -
Remove the DMZ on the modem then check if you get an Open NAT directly connected to it - you should do just with UPnP enabled by default

Just to double check, servers on the Geo-Filter will only appear when you're searching for a game/when you're in a game, you won't see them like heatmap. Are you experiencing that or not seeing them at all even when in a game? -
Are you basing this on the Dashboard or SmartBOOST/Geo-Filter pages specifically?

MW3 Ranked losing SR when GeoFilter is enabled
Netduma Fraser replied to khola's topic in Netduma R3 Support
Scenario 1 makes sense, no way around that with Geo-Latency off. Scenario 2, getting games outside the radius can happen, it's not necessarily a bug, basically even though the game knows it'll be a bad connection outside the radius it is choosing to put you on those servers anyway. We're working on tweaking the parameters to make that happen less. Make sure you are on the .41 firmware though as it will have improved over previous versions, if you haven't done so already do a factory reset on that version. -
Thanks for letting us know, no ETA but should be too long a wait

Duma OS wouldn't open, reboot R3 to fix problems.
Netduma Fraser replied to COD WARFARE's topic in Netduma R3 Support
We were unable to access, has everything been done, modem in modem/bridge mode or with R3 in its DMZ, remote support enabled on R3? If you have DMZ/port forwarding enabled on the R3 disable that -

Great thanks, passed it on to get that enabled -
That could be contributing

I mentioned two things: Do the test you have already done while directly connected to the modem Check if you get an Open NAT directly connected to the modem
-
How have you set the ISP modem though to allow you an Open NAT? You will need to do modem/bridge mode or put the R3 in its DMZ
-
Potentially, it really depends where the servers are in relation to each other

Is the ID for it the one in your screenshot?
