Right okay so if I've go this right you have one modem with two routers connected - the R3 just for you and another just for the rest of the house is that right? If so you're dealing with the routing of the modem then the R3 and then all the other devices using the internet that the R3 can't control which isn't ideal. Yes in theory if you throttle both it should limit the amount of lag you get.

Limiting connection speed on guest wifi/device
Netduma Fraser replied to kryptik66's topic in Netduma R3 Support
Not that I am aware of no, I'll add that to the list. Just don't add them to your priority list and they'll remain unprioritized (assuming you're doing prioritizing by device rather than activities) -
Server update in eFootball 2024 ping heatmaps
Netduma Fraser replied to euphidra's topic in Netduma R3 Support
I've chased him, thanks for the follow up -
It is yes. Under what circumstances was the test done? What website did you use? Have you tried without the R3 to see if you get similar results?

It would be easier to use a web browser on a PC for this but: Disable GeoLatency Disable PingAssist (set it to 0,0) Enable Strict Mode Disable Fast Search Use Simple instead of Custom radius Then restart game or wait 10 minutes (in the lobby in the game). If that doesn't work, reboot PC/Console and it should work then.

We can't get a firmware out before it is ready, likely it will come as Early Access, we're working on it.
-
Access the interface in a web browser by going to http://192.168.77.1 while connected to the router via WiFi or ethernet, complete the Setup Wizard there and then you'll get internet.
-
Yes that's how you would have to do it - if you don't want to do that you can just do the console method instead like before
-
You haven't been scammed, your card was declined and so the order failed, I've responded to you via email
-
Could you grab the logs from http://192.168.77.1/cgi-bin/logs.txt when this happens please - it should work without access and so should give us a good overall picture of what is happening
-
No you'd need to change it over when you switch games
-
What games/platforms are you playing on exactly?
-
That's really great to hear, thank for your feedback! We'll get those issues sorted and it'll just keep getting better.
-
We certainly would do that if implemented, unfortunately sometimes people don't equate an issue appearing to a change they've made. That's a great project but yes even before the launch of the company it started as a one man project so the CTO understands the grind and I was able to witness that. If you're having issues just coming back the next day with fresh eyes can do the world of good, don't give up!

Reserving bandwidth is a great idea, especially for applications/services that require a certain amount, overall has the issue been resolved now would you say?

Valorant dpi update for PS5 (consoles)
Netduma Fraser replied to Mobel's topic in Netduma R3 Support
I'll let Alex know to have a look at it thanks! If it's not prioritizing on the ports then either they're not the correct ports or the rule isn't done correctly - add the PC with the Games Console service instead and it should work. -
When you paste it don't paste it as plain text and it'll retain the style from the actual log page but the video is fine too thank you, I'll pass it on
-
When it happens again and while connected to the router via a wired Windows PC, open command prompt, type ipconfig press enter and then post a screenshot of the results here please.

My speeds are being throttled
Netduma Fraser replied to Kahari's topic in NETGEAR Nighthawk Support (XR range)
If you use another PC to connect to the modem do you get the same issue? Have you changed any network settings on the PC itself? -
Give the router a reboot from the interface, wait 4 minutes then check again please

Random disconnects with new firmware
Netduma Fraser replied to Achilles's topic in Netduma R3 Support
Okay thanks, disable SmartBOOST/QoS entirely and then see if it continues please -
Strange Disconnects Cutting Off Internet Access
Netduma Fraser replied to Slamchez's topic in Netduma R3 Support
Thanks for this, I'll pass this on, fingers crossed that does help, it'll be a resource heavy feature so if anything would help that should. -
Playstation hard wired to R3 problem
Netduma Fraser replied to boothay's topic in Netduma R3 Support
Glad to hear its working now, thanks for posting your solution! -
It's the amount of delay it is applying, it's entirely dependent on how stable your connection is - it's not much delay to add. If it works better off for you then use it that way. Are you rebooting the router? If so that'll be why, that'll be fixed for the next version. https://www.dropbox.com/scl/fi/7ztrz9hw4ywmlf7eg4heu/DumaOS-R3-4.0.23.sig?rlkey=4ryspujvkz5i3psnilv2h5yko&st=7oclz7qx&dl=0
