Administrators Popular Post Netduma Fraser Posted January 27 Administrators Popular Post Share Posted January 27 Hello everyone, here is the first update of 2024 for the Netduma R3. This update is not available as a 1 click update from the interface, you will need to upgrade manually. Please read carefully: We have tested this firmware but not as much as we would have done normally, reason being is we wanted to get this out to people to try without any further delay SO it is possible you could see issues as with any firmware update but it's looking pretty good so far. This update does not fix every single issue that has been reported, it is possible that issues you may have that aren't covered in the change log have been resolved but if its not been mentioned don't expect it to be fixed. Please do not report issues you already have that haven't been fixed in this firmware, we know what the issues are and they're still being worked on. On the other hand if there is an issue you were having that has been fixed please do let us know as that helps just as much as reporting issues. TL:DR Don't report issues that have already been reported and that haven't been mentioned in the change log Report whether issues mentioned in the change log and issues that haven't been mentioned have been fixed Report any new issues you've encountered after upgrading Changelog: Improvements to stability of upgrade process (memory issue should be fixed) Improved performance during high bandwidth usage Fixed a bug when disabling multiple devices in Adblocker Added ability to select individual server in Ping Heatmap when servers are grouped together Improved reliability of Speed Test Reduced CPU usage of certain services that were causing ping spikes Various frontend styling fixes Firmware removed while we work to fix issues. iOrcus, Quinny123, jj21 and 28 others 15 6 2

euphidra
@Netduma Fraser Hi Fraser, I connect the smartphone with another wifi after updating from connected but after a while it says connected without internet and the wifi icon on the mobile phone has an exclamation point. You surf even if not like when you write connected. It is the wifi or PPPOE mode that after a while after starting the router seems to block. With the router restarted it works a little but then it does the same thing. I tried the wifi with TIM Hub plus Technicolor and the wifi always writes connected. I am connected in PPPOE with TIM. The soundbars were both connected to 5Ghz devices but during the configuration phase I connected smartphones to 2.4Ghz by connecting both and then I switched smartphones to 5Ghz. I didn't restore since it's not necessary.

That's a very hard read

Popular Post JayC7
I must say. As far as gaming is concerned, it’s performing very well. Hit detection feels on point and overall gameplay feels smooth. All and all, great update. iOrcus, Disrek, Quinny123 and 4 others 6

Popular Post Stilts29
Played a couple of games and can actually compete in MW3. I'm praying it stays the same as performance has been awesome so far for gaming. A couple of things noticed: Update error'd like Spazz reported but did a reboot and it then loaded, also performed FR after upgrade. Geofilering is working great with all default options enabled. Smartboost working great, prioritising devices and games as set. Still only reporting half my speeds. I have Giganet connection with an ONT that connects straight into R3. Also new cat7 cables used. Set up and down CC to 70% as ping optimiser was'nt working. Got an A+ bufferbloat score so very pleased. No issues with CPU spiking. Oh and enabled IPV6 on Lan and Wan, no issues. Thanks to all the Netduma guys for working hard on this update and releasing today. YT_LowPingKing, Lyuboosik, TrayDay and 3 others 5

I didn't think pppoe was needed when you have a modem. Dhcp should work as the Internet into the home is sorted by the modem and your r3 acts as a dhcp no? euphidra

Only works when I disable smartboost for some reason and then when it runs its unable to get my ping down by much from the loaded rates. I think something is wrong here, for me anyway. I have bypass turned off too. @Netduma Fraser any idea why this might be happening? In any case atm I'm setting 70 up and down manually and getting an A+ Buffer bloat score.
