It was mid March yes. Which is what were at now. However like someone said before with those delays I'm more worried about intense bugs that could be occuring which would further push back release and also we haven't gotten more screen shots or an else which leads me to believe that dumaOS may be having a struggle. But for all we know it could be working great and maybe there's just legal issues still restricting them from doing so. It's all speculation. We're just gonna have to hope it drops soon.

And stop moaning....its free after all. I'd rather have something bug free with it being tested to the max...than for them to release it and everyone come on here complaining.

And breathe.........

actually it isn't free. the hardware (RB951G-2HND) cost 50€ (even less in bulk)  so this leave 140€ for the software.

We paid 140,00€ for a software and while it is working ,  we got 0 improvements since 14 months now.

The wait is a bit long and next you will know they will launch a R2 or something on a more recent platform to achieve more than the 500Mbps limit the duma has today while doing congestion control.

The upgrade will be free, you paid for a router and the software version that was on it, there have been quite a few free upgrades since launch.

The router does what it says it does.

Duma OS is a massive upgrade and as was said when it was reported that they were working on it, there may be delays.

As for launching an R2, I have no idea but at some point I am sure that there will be, just like car manufacturers  and other router manufacturers bring out new models.

I have yet to see anybody on a BMW forum ranting about the release of a new 3 series.

If you are having any issues with your current software or the hardware that it is running on please start a support thread in the relevant section and we will try to help you resolve any issues.

Come on man! Put that Kool aid down, lol.  Not even comparison, here is more accurate comparison for you.  Netgear and Asus as well as every other router manufacturer does not charge for a new firmware release.   Heck even 3rd party like Kong, Tomato, and Merlin don't charge for improving the stock FW!  Anyway, I think people have the right to be upset, I mean it has been several months!   Plus I don't see anyone being real disrespectful here on the forums just people who are anxious and are frustrated with delays.  Which is understandable, if you ask me. If netduma just sold the software and not the router (Hardware)  Then I think you might think have an argument.

Delays in business really are unacceptable and if bad enough will ruin a companies reputation and therefore sales.

They said that there may be delays so I fail to see why people are getting upset about a delay on something that will be free.

Delays in business happen, the Netduma team explained that there may be delays.

If the software was ready for release do you not think that it would be released? They are trying to make sure that it is bug free before releasing it to the masses.

People can come on this thread and complain all they like but it will not speed anything up.

Just to add, netgear and Asus don't offer what the r1 does.

You don't get my point..

i was just saying that we paid a software license and the maintenance update that must come with it.

do you get the difference between major release and maintenance update (bug fixe, minor cosmetic, security patch etc..) ?

look at this page :

https://mikrotik.com/download/changelogs, there is release very month almost.

or for the router edge lite platform:

13 EdgeRouter ERLite-3/ERPoe-5 Firmware v1.9.1 Firmware 2016-12-22

12 EdgeRouter ERLite-3/ERPoe-5 Firmware v1.9.0 Firmware 2016-08-08
11 EdgeRouter ERLite-3/ERPoe-5 Firmware v1.8.5 Firmware 2016-06-13
10 EdgeRouter ERLite-3/ERPoe-5 Firmware v1.8.0 Firmware 2016-02-26

This is how often software are released on very similar platform.

I already said this 6 months ago, but Netduma as a company should  really look at its release management process because

it is highly tied to customer traction and interest in the product, year long hype cycle isn't good for anyone.

and i'm not even starting on the security patch that the underlying linux base should get even if the device isn't supposed to be reachable from outside, ALL you home internet traffic flows through it.

OK, So your solution would be?

I mean I did a fair bit of research on this product before I dropped the money on it and it has delivered on every call.

The fact that they were a small company of a few people made me want to support them more.

Ive been in business for more years than I care to remember and am now semi retired but I would throw money at this lot if they ever sold shares.

But hey, what do I know.

We are all here to try and get the best out of our gaming and for me this router in its present form is a game changer.

That is my opinion and some may not agree with it but thats fine.

Despite Brexit we still live in a democracy :)

Happy gaming and stay frosty :)

don't bother with it brother. Net Duma has never been on point and they have an excuse for everything...! I've been saying it for the longest. These cats who are on here daily since launch don't deal well with criticism. FYI this product was advertised as coming with free updates. So in purchasing the router I paid for these so-called free updates. It's like cod selling the season pass and giving you the basic addition. I'm not saying the router is garbage. I'm saying the company's reliability is. These forms aren't cluttered for no reason.

If it's bug free does that make it not a beta anymore? ;P. Haha

I can say the netduma has definitely helped my connection alot. As I've posted before I have some pretty bad jitter and ping variations. Does it fix it, no. I remember when I first played black ops 3 I could not for the life of me even kill anyone, this was using the modem combo k had for DSL, I then proceeded to buy a DSL modem and then used my Asus router with and without ddwrt and tomato, they were almost as good as a placebo effect in my opinion as far as I'm concerned. Even the qos didn't seem to do much with fq Codel. Now I was at my last damn straw, I decided to buy the netduma. It came alot faster than I expected and it performed as it was advertised to perform.i noticed a major difference in hit detection even without the geo filtering on (I still currently don't use it much) that says something in my opinion. Now it's mainly because it fixed local congestion properly or as good as it can get till dumaOS, but it was still a game changer for me. The router is also very very user friendly, another major plus. Is it a bit slow loading some things, yeah it can be. But that's a small trade off and tbh I know the next os is supposed to be improved (I hope). Anyways delays or not, I'm greatful for the team at netduma for creating such a router and for having such a drive to try and fix "lag" and I hope even through all the frustrated members of the netduma community that they continue to look up and serve us as well as day one, even if that does include delays. I am just as excited if not even more so excited for the next OS. But still without the netduma I would have never learned so many things to understand about how jitter and hops can effect the way your game plays, and even if I don't use the geofilter as much as some it's still nice to be able to have that option at my disposal. So again thank the netduma team for going above and beyond what any money grabbing router manufacturer has done yet. They say they care about your lag but that's a crock of crap as far as I'm concerned. All they do is take an updated UI and slap it onto the next generation higher powered router. Which as we've seen doesn't make a damn difference.

Lol that comparison to the netduma company and cod was anything far from a good argument.when you buy cod you theoretically have to deal with andhave laid for all the updates to come to the game in the form of patches. You BUY the crappy dlc and yes all cod dlc has been literally trash the last few years. Anyways it's a whole different comparison. There's alot of saltyness on these forums and it's ridiculously toxic. We all want Duma OS to be here tomorrow. I'm not even an original Duma owner since day one, in fact I only since knew about it when bo3 was around. I never knew back when I had cable I could get the netduma and have better games thanks the crappy matchmaking was giving me. But realistically, if your connection is half decent and fairly stable it helps keep those decent games more frequently. If your connection is like mine and it's literally a jittery mess than you can still expect it to help mostly but that's about it. It does what it's been advertised to do.

Sheeeeesh hahaha I can't help but laugh when I read how pissed off people are that DumaOS isn't out yet. Some serious salt on this thread. Anyone who doesn't wish we had it by now is lying, but the fact of the matter is it's not ready yet. Everyone's entitled to their own opinion, be as pissed off as you want. But there's a difference between being a complete asshole about it and being civil about not being happy that we're still waiting. The most simple thing to do until we hear more news about its release: shut up and deal with it. Your bitching and moaning is NOT going to speed up its release. The end ;)

In my view i can unterstand when people get upset the duma os still isnt out. I wait since fall, 2016. i am not waiting for new features, but for the slow interface fix (because of portforwading, tried all, had 1on1). Im surprised that they calculated the release that wrong.

They kinda promoted duma os, whats with the people who bought the router with anticipation of the new firmware?
