Can you double check your username and password for your VPN is definitely correct? That's often the case when Hybrid VPN immediately shows failed.

Since resetting the XR, can you please clear your browsers cache? Where are you measuring your Ping? In-game or in Geo-filter? What's your base ping if you run a Connection Benchmark test? For Geo-filter, can you provide a full-page screenshot as to how you've currently got it configured?

We will be bringing the DPI update to the XR range, though I believe this will be when the 3.2 firmware is released, which we're currently testing another version of. Could you please try going to Settings -> Setup -> LAN Setup and set the minimum DHCP value to .100. Then, go through the table below it and reserve an IP address for each device on the network. Give them an IP from .2 to .99, so they're outside of the DHCP range. Let us know if you are still having issues after that please.

Found mislocated servers? Let us know here!

Excellent, thanks for letting us know, I'll pass this onto the team. -
Good suggestion, above, particularly trying a new ethernet cable!

Thanks for feeding back! I'll get this added to the roadmap! -
OK fair enough, antennas aren't the problem then! Do you think at some point you could try enabling the Guest Network, then see if you get the same speeds through that network as opposed to the main one?

Thanks for trying. Do you see a further drop in speeds if you remove the antennas from the R2, or do results seem to be the same? If you look inside the connector for the antenna and compare it to the connector on the R2, does one connector appear 'male' and the other 'female'? Or do they both seem the same?

For Ping Heatmap, hit click the three-line menu in the top left of the Ping Heatmap map and click 'Resync cloud', are you able to see servers then? For Geo-filter, you'll still see your physical location in-game, Geo-filter does mask/spoof that.

Welcome R2 owners! We want your feedback!
Netduma Liam replied to Netduma Alex's topic in Netduma R2 Support
Thanks for that, let me add that too! -
Out of interest, could you now try connecting to the 2.4GHz instead of 5GHz and see if the speeds are similar there from the same distance? Are these tests with QoS still disabled? Do you have any IoT devices, particularly any that are nearby the R2?

Ping Heatmap Request keeps hanging
Netduma Liam replied to ItsAllGonePeteTong's topic in NETGEAR Nighthawk Support (XR range)
Welcome to the forum! To clarify, are you receiving the error "The operation is taking longer than expected. Please briefly wait before using this Rapp."? If so, check the above responses to the OPs first post, it's nothing to worry about. It just took a little longer than expected to resync the cloud. -
Is the ISP modem a router/modem combo (does it broadcast it's own Wi-Fi network?) or is it a pure modem (No Wi-Fi)? If it's a combo, what's it's LAN IP? For example, it could be something like 192.168.1.1 or 192.168.0.1? You could try setting a static IP in the XR1000 settings under Settings -> Setup -> Internet Setup, perhaps that may help with the issue.

Looking at your original screenshot, you appear to have the cable for the R2 connected to the modem's Internet port. Does the modem have a LAN port you can connect that cable to instead? What's the make and model of the modem exactly?

You would need to connect the two with an ethernet cable, unfortunately you can't do this over wireless.- 38 replies

netduma r2 Ping Spikes in Warzone with Congestion Control Setup
Netduma Liam replied to BrownStar's topic in Netduma R2 Support
No, you don't need to restart after the cloud update. I would suggest connecting the kitchen router to the R2, then put the kitchen router into AP mode. If you have any problems with NAT, it may be a good idea to put the R2 in the DMZ of your ISP modem, but if you're not having any problems you don't need to worry about this.- 38 replies

As you say, the XR500 is more powerful so I would expect to see a difference, but probably not quite that much. Could you perhaps try downloading a Wi-Fi Analyser and use that to see the least congested Wi-Fi channels in your area? Then, switch the R2 to use those channels in the Wi-Fi settings. There's a good Wi-Fi Analyser on the Microsoft store called Wi-Fi Analyser, unfortunately I'm not too sure on the offerings from Apple's store.

Where are you reading the ping value from, Geo-filter or in-game? If you compare the reading you see in Geo-filter vs. In-game, are they much different? Could you try forcing a few different servers and see if you're having the same problem on all of them?
