It's best to start with a high value for Congestion Control, say 95% then do a test, decrease by 10%, test, decrease by 10% etc, until you get to a value that is pretty good and then try 5% either side of that value to see if it can be improved. It's important to note that Download & Upload on Congestion Control don't have to be the same value and that you may have a better experience with differing values.

New NetdumaR2 / Incorrect WIFI Password
Netduma Fraser replied to Bund1984's topic in Netduma R2 Support
If you can connect via ethernet then you can complete the setup wizard and then change it as above, otherwise this guide may help: https://support.netduma.com/en/support/solutions/articles/16000117883-i-ve-received-my-new-netduma-r2-but-the-wifi-password-doesn-t-work -
Found mislocated servers? Let us know here!
Netduma Fraser replied to Netduma Alex's topic in Call of Duty Support
Thanks for these so I can confirm these all appear to be normal servers, I'll pass it onto the team to get them correctly classified. -
Forcing Amercian lobbies
Netduma Fraser replied to Bluegixer1's topic in NETGEAR Nighthawk Support (XR range)
Great to hear that! Yes forcing servers much further away from you will increase your latency significantly. -
You do have access to the Early Access sub forum so I'd recommend trying one of those versions and see whether that improves it for you: https://forum.netduma.com/forum/144-netduma-r2-early-access/

Are you trying to move the location by clicking on the map or by entering the address and does the error occur when doing either?

Forcing Amercian lobbies
Netduma Fraser replied to Bluegixer1's topic in NETGEAR Nighthawk Support (XR range)
Try this: Quit the application/game/client completely Remove device from the Geo-Filter Give PC PlayStation Device Type in the Device Manager (if on PC) Resync from the Geo-Filter Map menu Re-add the device to the Geo-Filter with the manual option Set up the Geo-Filter how you like Wait 2 minutes Boot up application/game/client Then see if it works better. -
They would have had to add them manually and not everyone knows how to do that, there would have definitely been some reports. It's not really possible to just do that as it would still be cloud based so it would still need to be updated by us. I will get back to you when I know more about the particular issue.

Ah, this forum is for DumaOS supported routers, you can post in Off-Topic if you like and community members may help but it's not something we can provide support with directly: https://forum.netduma.com/forum/4-off-topic/ otherwise if Asus have a forum it may be best to try there instead.

Welcome to the forum! What router are you using exactly?
-
Ahh brilliant to hear you got it sorted, thanks for providing the solution as well!
-
Scenario 1 is the one you want to ensure the R2 gets proper internet, however, no scenario will allow you to access the R2 interface from the WAN, you will need to be directly connected to it. Once you've got it in scenario 1 you should see a WAN IP on the System Information page or you should see the R2 IP the other router has given it on that router - both IPs will be the same, then putting that in the router DMZ will work. Once it's all connected up properly, connect your PC to the R2, do this: Quit the application/game/client completely Remove device from the Geo-Filter Resync from the Geo-Filter Map menu Re-add the device to the Geo-Filter with the manual option Set up the Geo-Filter how you like Wait 2 minutes Boot up application/game/client Then see if it works better.

Netduma R2 stops working and needs power cycle to fix
Netduma Fraser replied to Timzyy's topic in Netduma R2 Support
Welcome to the forum! Sorry to hear you're having this issue, what firmware version are you on currently? In LAN Settings > DHCP set the lease hours to 168 then apply, reboot from the interface and see if it goes longer without the issue happening. -
Okay no worries, I'll pass it on, no one else has reported this issue so it might be more in depth than a cloud update but we'll see what happens with this next one.

Wifi devices get disconnected all at the same time
Netduma Fraser replied to baldurfour's topic in Netduma R2 Support
Try these suggestions and see if it helps Disable Mirror Mode, give 2.4/5GHz different names and apply - you'll want to connect to 5GHz specifically for speeds and 2.4GHz for older devices/for range Use a WiFi analyzer to find the least congested channel and change to that Experiment with the widths to see what gives better results Ensure it's in an elevated position - not on a metal surface Ensure there aren't any electrical / wireless devices e.g headphones etc within close proximity ~3 feet if possible Set the antennae to this position _ | | _ -
Found mislocated servers? Let us know here!
Netduma Fraser replied to Netduma Alex's topic in Call of Duty Support
I would think it's more likely to be a mislocated server as everyone connects through the server to you rather than direct to you. If you provide a couple of IDs like that we can double check. -
Okay thank you, I have passed it over to the team to take a look, with your additional information I'm sure they'll be able to get it this time around
-
So the latest version only passed at 80% so still a little bit to fix and then we should be away, there is a ticket for the PPPoE/QoS upload issue but I can't see if it's been fixed in this version or not.
