You don't need to adjust the DNS, by default it will use the DNS the ISP uses, if you want to change to another DNS have a look online for the best options

It is something that has been suggested before so it is possible we'll implement it in future

Could you provide a video perhaps of what you're seeing? That will help us figure out what may be happening

Depending on the time of day/server load some servers may not be always available, this seems to happen specifically with Italy and Spain in Europe.

You would put the R2 WAN IP (found on the R2 System Information page) into the DMZ on the BT Hub. It is safe to do as the R2 has its own firewall.
