Internet overall seems worse while using duma.
Netduma Fraser replied to HoodedMenace's topic in Netduma R2 Support
Don't use Auto Setup, Ping Under Load at that rating would indicate that QoS needs to be fine tuned some more. It's best to start with a high value for Congestion Control, say 95% then do a test, decrease by 10%, test, decrease by 10% etc, until you get to a value that is pretty good and then try 5% either side of that value to see if it can be improved. It's important to note that Download & Upload on Congestion Control don't have to be the same value and that you may have a better experience with differing values. -
As above, has a factory reset resolved this for you?

You could block it for any reason you like, the most common reason is because the server doesn't play well so yes would be a good idea to do so. As long as there are plenty of servers blocking one won't cause a problem.

Glad you were able to get it sorted, will keep that in mind if other people have any issues. -

Could you provide the error that you're seeing exactly? That will help us identify what the potential problem is. You could provide a screenshot as well if it's easier. Try accessing via 192.168.1.1 and see if that works for you. -

Just to clarify on this issue, are you using the Advanced way of doing the test or basic? -
Matchmaking issue with Geo-filter
Netduma Fraser replied to Kyle's topic in NETGEAR Nighthawk Support (XR range)
If you could try that would be really helpful, would indicate if it's just an issue with this game, in which case it could be a bad cloud update for example -
We can't really troubleshoot old firmware as it's old and won't have as many fixes, best to upgrade, what are the issues you're having on the new ones exactly?

Please Help! Geo-Filter Doesn't work!!
Netduma Fraser replied to helton MT's topic in NETGEAR Nighthawk Support (XR range)
When you did the factory reset did you go through the Setup Wizard after as it would definitely have been cleared with a factory reset. Otherwise, it's likely because you deleted the device that was added to the Geo-Filter previously from the Device Manager, reconnect the device in the same way and give it the same name/device type and that should eliminate the error. -

That's very strange, does it work if you try another game? -

When you're playing in the game have a look at the Network Monitor on the router, is it showing the PC using any traffic at all? -
Best thing to do is just give it a try, see what works best for you. With your speeds yes QoS is less of a requirement and more of a nice to have but only takes 1 download to be in lag city so always a good idea to use QoS in my opinion and with Traffic Prio gaming can be prioritized so it won't be in a queue.

Lag no lag more lag

Yes most likely it would help, try it for a month and see if you notice a difference, if not just cancel it and potentially look into another ISP -

I haven't played eFootball so not sure what it's like in game but can you see the ping at all? If so is it what you would expect if the Geo-Filter was keeping it to that radius? Basically want to know if it is working in the background but just not showing anything or not doing anything at all. -

Okay well that's a good sign, goes to show that was actually the issue. Not sure what dynamic on your side in some way is supposed to mean exactly. It might take a little time to settle before it gives a more consistent stable experience but if not may be worth looking at another ISP that doesn't use CG-NAT. -
Not receiving close to full connection speed using R2 router
Netduma Fraser replied to Ravenuk's topic in Netduma R2 Support
Try with QoS disabled first, that will give you a good idea of what it is capable to achieve. It may be PPPoE slowing it down, so what I would suggest next is perhaps having the XR500 handling PPPoE, with the R2 in the 500 DMZ then remove PPPoE from the R2 and see what you get. -
¿Podría proporcionar una captura de pantalla de su página de configuración de LAN, por favor? Es un problema de Netgear, así que tenemos que esperar a que lo arreglen, desafortunadamente, la degradación no ayudará.

I don't think anything has changed on our end, if you check eFootball on Ping Heatmap do you see the servers appearing there? -

Check the Geo-Filter ping when that happens, is it rising as well? When you get dropped look at the Geo map, is anything being blocked? -
Not receiving close to full connection speed using R2 router
Netduma Fraser replied to Ravenuk's topic in Netduma R2 Support
Hey, welcome to the forum! Looks like you've put your expected speeds in which is great, disable SmartQoS/QoS fully then do a third party test, what is the speed you get then? There are only a few settings that will boost the speed - disabling QoS entirely and disabling the protection options in WAN Settings, whatever you get then will be your max
