As above you can use Ping Heatmap for that!
-
Same way as I mentioned above although I don't believe it's working very well for Destiny at the moment due to updates they made

Devices Listed as OFFLINE that are ONLINE!
Netduma Fraser replied to Larry_Thiessen's topic in Community Discussion
I've only had one response, asking for further information and a possible reason for it occurring but if you wish to return it that's understandable. If you do a speedtest for example so it's using high traffic consistently does it switch to online? QoS needs to be fine tuned to ensure you don't get any lag, simply having it enabled won't get you the best experience. No we don't have a public facing list of known issues etc. -
Great to hear it is working, we haven't had a chance yet to test the game specifically so most likely we need to add some servers to the whitelist. Check the Geo map when you get a crash for something blocked and add it to the allow list, keep doing that until the crashes stop and you should be good to go. If you could give us the IDs for those servers as well that would help a lot!

Problems with new Nighthawk 1000 Xr

Okay great so continue reducing the percentages until you find what works best for you. No difference in the way you access Yes both should be used together for the best experience Could you clarify what advanced settings you're referring to? You can use DumaOS Classified Games or also add it with the Games Console service Yes but only in specific cases where you need to ensure a device/application gets a certain amount of bandwidth. In most cases I recommend leaving it at the default settings -

Are ALL devices connected to the XR? Are any devices connected to the XR via a switch or extender etc i.e. not a direct connection? -

Would still recommend have the modem handling that for the moment -

It is us, are those devices directly connected to the router? The Device Manager can be a little sensitive and show devices offline when devices are connected but not actively passing traffic -

Never mind, you won't have changed the setting then. You don't need to worry about that packet loss, it's not indicative of your overall connection. Are you using Armor? Have you put a device in the DMZ? -

Have you disabled Share Excess on the Upload for Bandwidth Allocation? Is Congestion Control set to Always, Auto or Never? -
Connection but no internet
Netduma Fraser replied to Bluegixer1's topic in NETGEAR Nighthawk Support (XR range)
Yes when set to disabled I assume it would act as a modem. While connected to the router via a Windows PC, open command prompt, type ipconfig press enter and then post a screenshot of the results here please. -
NEW XR500 BETA FIRMWARE: 3.3.535
Netduma Fraser replied to Netduma Lew's topic in NETGEAR Nighthawk Support (XR range)
If both are enabled then port conflicts could occur yes but in reality I've not seen anyone encounter issues. Normal is for ethernet connected devices and Gaming/Voice you can use for WiFi. -
So forcing you always need Ping Assist set to 0 and strict mode enabled (it is by default) and then use polygons (don't cover your country) or move your location on the map and adjust the radius to cover the countries you want

Yeah where are you testing upload to determine QoS isn't taking affect? -

Your Ping Plotter is actually quite good for when you're running 4k. I would recommend setting Ping Assist to 0 on the Geo-Filter. Where are you testing that upload stays at 100%? -
Problems with new Nighthawk 1000 Xr
Netduma Fraser replied to Furious's topic in NETGEAR Nighthawk Support (XR range)
Forget about the Auto Setup, it's something we are still improving upon so it doesn't always give the best results. We generally suggest around 70% for download & upload as a starting point and then adjust it from there depending on your experience to find the value that works best for you. What is the model of the WiFi extender and just to clarify, the XR isn't handling VLAN or PPPoE now? -
There isn't really a one size fits all answer, it's generally best to force the servers closest to you so within a sort of 1000km radius but some people like the experience when they force a server slightly further away. As you said we don't support people trying to circumvent SBMM, I don't necessarily believe it works

You said you reset already? Hold the reset button in the back of the router for 30 seconds, then wait 4 minutes before accessing the interface -
NEW XR700 BETA FIRMWARE: 3.3.363
Netduma Fraser replied to Netduma Lew's topic in NETGEAR Nighthawk Support (XR range)
If you grab the log when it happens next I can see if it's pointing to anything else. Better is subjective, depends what your priorities are software or hardware, we always recommend our router for software or the XR range for hardware. -
XR 500: Unable to log into router interface
Netduma Fraser replied to Dana's topic in NETGEAR Nighthawk Support (XR range)
I'd suggest reupgrading the firmware using the TFTP method, this bypasses the boot process and any issues there then once done do a factory reset for the freshest install possible: https://kb.netgear.com/000059634/How-do-I-upload-firmware-to-my-NETGEAR-router-using-TFTP-from-the-Microsoft-Windows-Command-Prompt?article=000059634 -

Can you now disable IPv6 just on the LAN side on the R2, reboot the router from the interface, wait 2 minutes then reboot the console, wait a few minutes then check please? -

Are you able to access the interface at all? As you would need to complete the Setup Wizard before you can get internet
