Another day, another problem with XR1000
Netduma Fraser replied to banjo22's topic in NETGEAR Nighthawk Support (XR range)
Good advice above, reboot your modem, wait 2 minutes, then reboot the XR, wait 2 minutes, does everything connect properly after that? -

Come back with the open beta for the XR1000
Netduma Fraser replied to Derlandes's topic in Community Discussion
That's what we have been doing, that's why there are currently beta versions for the R2, XR500 & XR700. The XR1000 will follow shortly once we've determined it's stable enough for testers to use. -

Problème Netduma R2 avec décodeur TV SFR
Netduma Fraser replied to OREAAA's topic in NETDUMA Français

Lag no lag more lag
Netduma Fraser replied to davemarsden132's topic in NETGEAR Nighthawk Support (XR range)
You should do it so you're directly connected to the modem/ONT so that would get rid of hop 1, just double check but yes it does seem like you have a CG-NAT, I've also never seen a timeout pinging your own public IP. To solve a CG-NAT you'll either need to obtain a static public IP from your ISP (they usually charge for this) or swap to an ISP that doesn't use CG-NAT. -

CONEXION PUERTOS LAN R2
Netduma Fraser replied to BERNARDINO DE AGUAS's topic in Community Discussion
Unplug the R2 from power, wait for 10 seconds, hold the Factory Reset button, while continuing to hold plug the power back into the R2 and keep holding the reset for 30 seconds then release. Wait 2 minutes, then try accessing please and see if you can go through the setup wizard. -

Netduma Fraser replied to davemarsden132's topic in NETGEAR Nighthawk Support (XR range)
It wouldn't be one person congestion you but rather a lot of people in your area. You wouldn't be sharing an IP with someone but you may be getting new IPs, it depends if you have dynamic or static. You can try changing DNS but I don't think that would be the issue. Check the bottom of this guide to do a test for CG-NAT, potentially that might be affecting you negatively - it does make it impossible to get an Open NAT - is that something you've struggled with? https://support.netduma.com/en/support/solutions/articles/16000076587-dumaos-optimal-settings-guide-open-nat -
Bufferbloat Download

Drop and just do the test, though you could play a round if that's what you're more concerned with, they may be getting lag compensated -
Bufferbloat Download
Netduma Fraser replied to e32iL's topic in NETGEAR Nighthawk Support (XR range)
It's best to start with a high value for Congestion Control, say 95% then do a test, decrease by 10%, test, decrease by 10% etc, until you get to a value that is pretty good and then try 5% either side of that value to see if it can be improved. It's important to note that Download & Upload on Congestion Control don't have to be the same value and that you may have a better experience with differing values. -
Internet overall seems worse while using duma.

Could you provide some pictures of how you set it up? Also a picture of a completed Connection Benchmark could be helpful -
R2 consistently loses connection
Netduma Fraser replied to FazeChungus's topic in Netduma R2 Support
Did you have access to the router when the disconnect happened? If so if you can grab the log from the Sys Info page when it happens that may give us some ideas. Some people who are having the issue have changed the DHCP lease time to 10 minutes, while this seems counter intuitive it seems to have worked for them. It is something we're looking into overall though. -

NEW XR500 BETA FIRMWARE: 3.3.535
Netduma Fraser replied to Netduma Lew's topic in NETGEAR Nighthawk Support (XR range)
A factory reset should resolve it, it would be a good idea anyway as it's a few iterations ahead of the firmware you were on -
We need to update the basic configs so for the moment you'll need to use the manual configs
