You're very welcome, that's great to hear! -
Couldn't get VLAN to save for PPPoE
Netduma Fraser replied to SturdyFugur's topic in Netduma R3 Support
Okay that's good to hear, just wanted to make sure you wouldn't be without internet while we look into it. -
Thanks for the review, great to hear there is a lot you like about the router, to cover the issues/questions you mentioned. Ping Optimizer gives you the best results at that moment in time, as the day goes on more devices could be connected etc and the best value may change which could account for the small variance. We are looking into the Steady Ping/stabilizing not working all the time. What kind of ads is it not blocking on the phone? We're looking into that! Use a WiFi analyzer to find the least congested channels and experiment with the widths. Also antennae placement is important. With those changes you should see better results. I'm inquiring with the team about WPA3, it has been requested to be added. Not at the moment but that has been requested Thank you for the suggestion, I have added that to the list. Is it working now? We are looking into UPnP to see if we can make it more robust. I'm checking on that as I know they were both enabled by default on the R2

Okay thank you very much, I'll pass all information over to the team to get this sorted. Are either of you able to get an internet connection without it? Such as using an upstream router to handle it? -

Correct! Okay do keep us updated. Depending on what Ping Optimizer advised it could be beneficial to manually change Congestion Control for a better experience. -
My personal experience so far with the R3

Split the bands and use a WiFi analyzer to find the least congested channel, you could also experiment with the widths and this could give you extra range. The placement of the antennae is important as well We could make a crazy spec router but it would be twice as expensive, we want to allow as many people as possible to experience it at a competitive price. If needed we can try to improve WiFi further -

Yes we would have had a collection later in the day, more routers are being collected today so keep an eye on it and should track in the evening most likely -

I have private messaged you with a solution that will allow you into the interface -
It will likely ship today/tomorrow, keep an eye on your emails for tracking

I don't think we've specifically tested anything else handling DHCP so most likely why it's not working and so there could be a number of issues with this setup. Could you explain your exact physical setup please?

As above with Steady Ping, that's likely the ping increase you're seeing but it's done on purpose for a better connection. You can likely enable SmartBOOST again but of course it's your router and all options are available to you to use however it best works for you. -

That or it hasn't been scanned by DHL yet, if you got it late on Friday then it was likely us creating the shipping label in preparation for delivery. With so many orders it's not really feasible to print it per order or on the day necessarily -
Could you disable Steady Ping as well please, click Steady Ping at the top of the map where it says active, then reboot the console and try again please? The devs are looking into the issue as well

Strange performance issues compared to XR1000
Netduma Fraser replied to Zac's topic in Netduma R3 Support
Okay that's not too bad usage wise. I think it's about 8ms on average that it raises it by, you can adjust it to go from anywhere between 10 - 80ms or disable it entirely. Do keep us posted on the WiFi as it's something we'll be keen to sort out if it's not an external factor. Regarding your ping issues how do you have SmartBOOST setup, have you adjusted Congestion Control in Ping Optimizer > Advanced? -
I can't see the scan picture unfortunately but if it was only showing one channel as being used, then that should be fine, change the width though to 40MHz, you may get better results with that. You should also use 2.4GHz for range and 5GHz for more speedy applications.

Das ist toll zu hören, danke für das Update! -
Okay so if you set the Xbox in the Xbox network settings to use an alternative port and port forward that instead and have the PS use 3074 does that allow you to get an Open NAT on both at the same time?

I can see you have a browser based Adblocker enabled, could you just disable this and check again please? We'll also be looking into this issue today to get a fix out asap. -
Are they connected to 2.4 or 5GHz and do you notice a difference on either? If you disable SmartBOOST entirely does it work as expected?

Puoi inserire i dettagli VLAN e PPPoE sì As above we're looking into making Steady Ping more reliable, the same with Ping Optimizer as well but if you try it 3 more times does it allow it to work? -
Ping Optimization has failed every time I’ve tried it
Netduma Fraser replied to CaSpA's topic in Community Discussion
Thank you for that, I've passed that onto the team to see if we can reproduce it. Ping Optimizer will do a test and determine what it thinks is the best percentage for you to reduce your ping the most. You changing the percentage manually is you telling the router what to use rather than using the Ping Optimizer results. -
Do you still have access to the interface when you get a disconnect? If so could you get the log from the System Information page please when it happens? In the meantime, in LAN Settings > DHCP, set the DHCP range to start at .50, then assign reserved IP addresses to devices between .2 & .49 so they're out of the DHCP range, apply, reboot from the interface, wait 4 minutes and see if that stops the disconnects.

Hello, welcome to the forum! Sorry to hear you're having this issue, sounds like it could be a WiFi congestion issue, if you use a WiFi analyzer (there is a free one on the Microsoft store for Windows called WiFi analyzer) to find the least congested channels and change to that does that help at all?

What is the maximum amount of people you potentially have using the internet at any one time and how many devices? The great thing about Steady Ping is it can be used for local servers or servers further away - if you connect to a game server that has any deviance whatsoever you could benefit from it, I would be surprised if you didn't as ping does naturally fluctuate though of course depending on a lot of factors like the quality of your connection it could be more stable than others. Do keep us posted! Haha I am, just finishing up replies now, with the launch of the R3 we want to ensure we give the best support possible, catch any and all bugs and feedback so we can quickly put out firmware if needed so it can be the best most stable router yet!
